I know it's The Fail so probably bollocks. But he'd be perfect, hope we're in for him.

Sunderland are the latest club to show an interest in Swansea captain Ashley Williams.
The Wales international is stalling on a new contract and looks set to leave the Liberty Stadium this summer.
And Gus Poyet is the latest manager to be alerted to his availability this summer and are ready to launch a £4million offer for the central defender.

Williams, 29, has a year left on his deal at Swansea, and manager Garry Monk has not given up hope of signing him to a new deal.
But if an agreement can't be reached the Swans will look to sell their skipper to avoid losing him for nothing next summer.

This would be a very solid signing IMHO. He may be holding out for a top 5-8 club, although I'd hope he has a good impression of SAFC after the recovery under Gus last season.

Used to be a buddy of mine, played football with him for a few years, Once I am home I will find out if this is true or not.

I would love him here, great pro. When he comes home he trains on the Rugby pitches near my house, I bump into him occasionally and say hello. Newcastle tried to sign him 2 seasons ago but he turned them down as he got a better contract at Swansea. He has been known to turn up at the Sunday league pitches to catch up with a few lads.

There's a reason he's been heavily linked with Arsenal for the past year or so.

He'd be a very good signing for us.

Although I have to admit, I thought he was a little younger.

Ash gets linked to lots of teams after every season and have even been for a medical at qpr..<laugh> The guy is not even in the country and tweeted to say he is not going anywhere. All the rumors you hear about players going here there and everywhere is just the agents trying to make themselves money...<ok> Until your own official club web site announces about a player has signed then don't believe all you read as the majority is bull**** to sell papers....they all do it not just the daily fail...

Only thing for me is that is he similar to Michael Turner. Tipped for England etc, then when he joined he wasn't up to much. Would Williams be similar. I wouldn't say he is amazing like.

Williams has more football talant in his little toe than Turner has in his entire body.
