The Daily Fail is now reporting our interest in Rhodes for £12m, so that's one which will never happen! :emoticon-0112-wonde

Another Bournemouth site suggests that it's City and Boro interested in Grabban, with Cardiff no longer interested now that they have signed Le Fondre and another striker. Grabban makes more sense to me anyway.

So, presumably the next step is to look at his goals for Bournemouth last season, and find a creative midfielder to supply the type of service that suits him best? The main area where Norwich failed to deliver under Hughton.

Andrew Surman perhaps? I'm sure he wouldn't be too expensive...

Jokes aside, is this catering for Surman's return?

As noted on the other thread, based on Grabban getting the number 9 shirt, presumably it's RvW that's makin way for him.

I just can't see RvW being bought for what we'd be prepared to sell though, so my feeling is he'll be loaned out.

With respect though Rob, it is only a hastily amended wiki page - presumably they (whoever updates the page) assume that striker = number 9 shirt? :emoticon-0112-wonde

Good point, apologies. I was also thinking about his style of play being a like-for-like of RvW and jumping to conclusions!

I know a few were sceptical about Adams' statements re Hooper, but I am c.80% confident that he will stay. An attacking line-up of Grabban, Hooper and Becchio, IMO, has to be one of the Championship's strongest and offers us a variety of options and styles.

Call me naive if you want, but why does this mean someone's going? We've already lost Elmander remember. Four strikers (not including Loza) is surely a minimum requirement for any club?

Good signing by the way. <ok>

Fair point. I'd just be surprised if someone wasn't.

How much do we reckon this "undisclosed" fee was? I'd say £3m, based on the Cardiff reports, seems relatively likely. I can't see us paying much more than that

This is from the BBC website, though how they'd know such a thing is a mystery to me?

Championship-bound Norwich City have signed striker Lewis Grabban from Bournemouth for an undisclosed fee.
The 26-year-old, who scored 22 goals in the second tier this season, had a £3m release clause in the Cherries contract he signed in January.
But the Canaries have not necessarily had to match that amount.

TBF I'd still expect RVW to go but Hooper to stay. The way Royle spoke the other day suggests they were in the market for more than one striker but we'll see. I'd be happy to go with what we've got personally.

By the way, I just checked a Bournemouth forum, they're all very bitter. Suggests he will be missed!

Grabban like RVW? Grabban described as ' works the channels, hard working, pacy and scores goals ' Did RVW do that last year when I was asleep through boredom because I didn't see much of it? As for a constructive midfielder - we are in the Championship now and the last time I looked we still had Surman and Wes both of whom were ignored by Hughton because they wanted to go forward instead of concentrating on defensive duties. They will do for me in this league.

We also had Lansbury, Fox and Pacheco, none of whom are still here. We need a creative midfielder desperately.
