Hoddle is a god

As you lads will be aware, I am not one for making wild, sweeping generalizations. However, I am proud to predict that Poch will be the manger we (and Levy) have dreamed of, and will be our saviour. He will steer the mighty Spurs juggernaut down the road to glory (if he isn't sacked before hand), and will deliver to the club the success that we have all craved.

If he does, I will gladly change my name to PIAG.

Watch this space.

Please.

I don't think Pochettino is the kind of guy to drive a juggernaut, maybe it should be the Spurs Porsche or Ferrari for next season.

I like the fast car analogy. However, a juggernaut rolls over all in its way, so I choose to stick with that analogy.

Having said that, I have no quibble with us fans driving past hapless gooners (in their Fiat Puntos and Ford Fiestas) in our Porches and Ferraris and, dare I say it, Lambourgouhnis, when we, finally, top them for top 4.

Is the "A" really necessary? I've heard there is only one god by some religious types. So specifying he is "A" god is redundant. Just scrap the "A" from your user name if you change.

Has he actually said anything except for the brief statement on the day he was announced?

I know its post season but I expected to hear something from him.

He's on holiday before he starts. I never do any work leading up to a holiday (say 3 months) and he's probably waiting till he gets back. Hopefully Baldini is busy though - ideally after getting Pochettino's requirements.

He could be learning new words to use at his first press conference. Yet for all we know his translator could have been the tactical genius behind their success at Southampton.

Had to check that twice........ was convinced it said replacement <yikes>

A lot of Saints fans certainly feel like they got a good replacement, some even feel Koeman is a better manager than Poch.

Really difficult one to call. If you look at win percentages Koeman wins hands down but Poch is the new kid on the block and learning all the time. On the negative side there is a big jump from Dutch football to English and Koeman will not find that easy. For Poch, he will get off to a flying start and the players will love him. It's his ability to keep going that is in question (e.g. a bit blinkered on approach to game, no plan B, etc).
