There is- it's called one third.
It's a fraction, didn't your granny tell you about them?
If you have a cake and three people to divide it amongst, you cut it into three pieces.
One of them is a third.

It's not the same at all, diving by 33 is actually changing the result, diving by 0 changes nothing, My point was common sense in this avoids infinitely adding numbers to an uneven division.

In line with the discussion, fractions are not defined numbers they are representations of a part of a whole. the fraction may be 1\3 but the number it represents can be anything.

if you decimalize it you can. 1.0 a third of which is .333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333333 forever :D

If you divide 100 by 33 does the answer not go on to infinity?

    No, it's a third.

The numerator is 1 and the denominator is 3
    1 over 3
    1/3
    A ****in third.

    <laugh> <ok>

I think it was inspired by actual claims of black holes being everywhere lasting nano seconds. That was making the rounds a while back.

    I have a question.

Nothing supposedly travels faster than the speed of light. This supposedly includes gravity. How then can gravity escape a black hole? :D

more likely the truth is entirely different.

The Earth orbits where the sun is at any instant, NOT where it appears in the sky 8 minutes later (the time it takes for light to reach earth) So, does this not suggest that gravity is faster than light? If the sun just disappeared the earth would instantly be affected, not 8 minutes later.
