    Great player for Lions in the 70's.

    Sadly, very ill with what may be dementia but may have been caused by heading hard footballs - like WBA's Geoff Astle.

    Great player in his day.

    Alf Wood was my first 'favorite' Millwall player when i started going in 1973, very sad to hear of his condition as i bet he has many stories that people would be interested in.

    Great header of a ball...and fearless

    such a shame

    would be nice for Millwall to take the initiative and raise some money towards his care home costs

    might shame some of the so called 'big' clubs to do the same for footballers of this era, who did not earn the obscene amounts of money that modern players do

    Norwich did that for one of our ex players, Duncan Forbes.
    It is indeed sad when players you worshipped as kids suffer this horrible illness.
