This ^ Fabregas is just about to hit his prime and whichever team he goes to he will undoubtedly improve them. We need to make sure it's us and not be limited by thinking he's the only player we can sign. It will make it an expensive summer but if he ends up at Utd, City or Liverpool I think we'll end up regretting it.
I would put my house on us regretting it BIG TIME. He is too good to pass up on this opportunity. It would be really sad if we don't get him in. He would take no time to adjust and as a player, would be even better since he left us after playing with greats like Messi, Xavi, Iniesta etc. Scary thinking about it!
You will regret having no striker again next season more than you will regret others getting cesc. If we or others dont get cesc we will get someone else while you still wont have a striker who can fire you to glory. And as i asked earlier, whar are your views in chelsea doing what you are stating you should do with cesc. Buy him not because hes needed but so that others cant.
Oh just do one lol. Your so irritating. Whether we sign fabregas or not has no bearing whatsoever on whether we manage to sign the striker we all want. It's a totally different conversation, so just stop your nonsense about a striker. Signing a striker and signing fabregas are not two mutually exclusive events. As for your nonsense about us doing a Chelsea and signing players so others don't it's very obviously a different situation and if you can't see that then your beyond help lol
You're assuming that our budget will be limited to under £50m. We are financially capable of buying more than one expensive player at a time, and buying Cesc and a top striker is possible for us. Now whether we'll do it is another thing. Unless we're close personal friends with Wenger, we will not be sure.
Its no different. Not in any way. Buying a player to stop otgers is exactly what chelsea do. And unless you are privy to the financial status at arsenal i have no idea how you can be so confident. How many times have arsenal had money yet not spent it? More times than you care to remember i guess. If you buy fabregas and remy thats you done for the summer. 44million plus wages. About 60million spent. Not a bad summer but doesnt do much for your strike force.
http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...rcelona-midfielder-cesc-fabregas-9467609.html don't you guys have first option? Seems random. But independent is normally full of ****
You say this every year yet what happens. Ozil aside (very much the exception) you have about 50/60million to spend this summer. Its enough to address your issues but if you go after fab then your issues will remain. Take united for example. We had an issue and didnt address it. Worked out well for us didnt it. Same with chelsea. They have the same issue as you. They also bought back a midfielder they sold instead of buying what they need.... How did that pan out?
we dont have infinite resources , they have to be spent on the players we NEED , not WOULD NT MIND having .
Chelsea and city have been a used in the past of buying players so others couldn't and then sticking them on the bench or loaning them out. If we signed fabregas he would be the first name on our team sheet. The added bonus of one of our rivals not getting him would just be an additional bonus. And you seem very confident we can't spend yet your saying unless I'm privy to our financial info I can't be confident about what we are able spend? Of course people on a forum are going by whatever info they have seen and don't know the behind the scenes reality. Not sure what your point is. And last summer we spent 42m on ozil yet your saying if we spend 44m that's definitely our transfer business done.. We can afford to spend more than that on transfers and there is already room to spend more on wages, we have a small squad. If we signed fabregas it would not price us out of making a move for the likes of benzema or mandzukic if they become available.
In regards to matic it turned out well, he had a good season and looks like he's a nailed on starter in midfield for them now.
im sorry but we HAD Fabregas in our team for years , we didnt have any blistering successes. , what make you so sure he will make such a huge difference to our team ? When we have Ramsey , Santi , Ozil , Wilshire , Ros , .
No. But he wasn't brought in to solve there striker problems. They went for a temporary option of etoo while trying to get the costa deal done. They thought long term rather than just what the obvious immediate thing to do was. Otherwise they would have had to go for a different striker and then be in a position this summer of needing to shift that striker off the wage bill to bring in Costa whilst also needing to add a cm with lampard on his way out. Similarly for us fabregas would be coming in knowing Arteta and rosicky don't have long left at the level we need from them. We can look at the overall squad and not just our obvious striker issue. I still want to see us bring in a quality striker but it's not difficult to see how signing fabregas would benefit us at all.
