I don't give a toffee about future England stars.

Plus, having 10 B teams or whatever it is could potentially seriously mess up the league system all the way down the ladder.

Firstly a new league which includes ten conference teams would mean suddenly there's 10 teams in the conference that need to get replaced, meaning ten teams from Conference North/South (presumably five from each), thus each league would require five from the league below, and then five from the league below that and so on, so ultimately it would cause a huge headache and loads of potential issues, especially when you consider some teams will be liquidated and chucked out the leagues, and especially in the lower leagues some might not have the ground grading to replace the teams in the league above.

Secondly, it could completely ruin the leagues they're in. What if B teams fill all the promotion slots from League 2, then no real teams would go up. Is that fair to them? Or whatever if B teams were in the top 4 or 5 positions, they can't get promoted from League 1 so what happens then? Does the team finishing in 6th go up automtically? Along with the team in 7th? Then 8, 9, 10 and 11 would be in play offs? It would just be ridiculous. Or the other way round, what if B teams finish in all of the relegtion zones in League 3 or the Conference (or whatever is the minimum level they could play at), they couldn't go down so teams that would normally finish comfortably mid table are suddenly relegated. It's ridiculous.

Not to mention the crowds. No B team would get more than a couple of hundred people going, even Accrington probably get bigger crowds than any B teams, and their away support is probably non-existent which will have quite an impact on attendance incomes. Four B teams in a league, means four proper teams not in the league. Plus even for home supporters, seeing a B team of some random Premiership side isn't that big a draw. Who would you rather welcome to Wycombe.... Mansfield or Newcastle United B? Oxford or Liverpool B? Portsmouth or West Ham B? Honestly, I thnk that's a no-brainer.
Colchester or Arsenal B <laugh>

Just a thought, isn't Tranmere a sort of Premier B Team. I've seen somewhere they are a feeder club. Just make up up some new "feeder" teams that can have their own fans.

At least Colchester would bring some fans.

Feeder clubs are completely separate entities though and are more kind of a partnerships with players that a loaned out to the feeder club and so on and/or play regular pre-season friendlies. Havant & Waterlooville is technically our feeder club I believe.

I had a long conversation with my son and he came up with the following points:

1. Playing in under 21 and under 18 leagues does not give them proper experience. They are playing against other "unders" and getting no experience of playing full League football against men. When suggesting this can be achieved by loaning them out the killer punch came

2. If you had a son who had been signed up by (say) Arsenal, would you want him to be loaned out to Accrington Stanley, training with Accrington players and being looked after by the Accrington medical team or would you prefer them to be training with top players like Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshire, Arteta, Sagna etc, under far superior Arsenal coaching and being looked after by the far superior Arsenal medical team.

3. Future potential England stars should be getting full League football experience against men but groomed properly not thrown out to "third rate" teams and left under their coaching and training.

I'm sorry but I couldn't argue against what he was saying. All I could say was that the "third rate" teams in lower leagues would suffer because there would be a shortage of players we could obtain on loan. Although I suspect the ones we could get on loan wouldn't be the ones playing in the new league.

As the prem league seem to just go round hoovering up young talent from lower league clubs for peanuts if they want them to gain first team experiance then the loan system should be modified for the leagues under the Championship so you could take 5 or 6 young players on a season long loan from a prem team and players on a season long loan should count as your own players so no restrictions on how many you can play in any game are you listening Mr Dykes
PS Yes Greg Dykes B team is in and no longer pending there are a couple others in there that are still pending can somebody take a look at them and third them over the next couple of days if not they will be released

All of the ones that need thirding

- players that go down cluching their face as soon as an arm goes within 6 inches of them
- reality TV, especially big brother/X factor
- glory supporters/johnny come lately. You all know the type I mean, the people who are suddenly a fan after all these years when "their" team wins the league, will brag about it everywhere and the next season not bother, and suddenly start supporting a different team!

any takers?
