Blackmore is reporting that Les Reed is coming under massive pressure and that it's him a lot of the players (for that, read Rickie) have an issue with.

Anyone know any more about that? After all, this is the man we're relying on for the football side here.....

Blackmore actually said they think Reed is an issue, not that they have an issue with him. Subtle but important difference.

He has his work cut out though that's for sure. Someone needs to embody the "vision" to the players and he's probably the only one left who can do it.

reed has never been one to impress impressionable young footballers, has he?

if we haven't got one, we need to get someone in a senior position who can get them all in a positive mood again.

oh that's right, ralph was supposed to be the motivational speaker.

he's probably too peripheral to make a difference to the players though.

Well if Reed is in charge at the moment he is doing a ****e job. We have no manager and the new one coming in may want Lambert!!!
Why are we selling our only experienced fit striker. If Les needs reminding our other striker is out till Novemeber.
So while our new Chairman spouts european footy in the background he's selling another asset!!!! LIAR!!!!!

Actually thinking about it a bit more, I think some of the players have a role to play as well. Reed has to get the guys like Davis and, despite the rumours of his departure, Lallana, who really represent the club, to help him convince the others that the future is still bright.

Obviously the job would be made much easier if they get the right manager in quickly, and maybe some impressive signings as well.

Considering he oversees the academy, scouting and recruitment, you have to assume to he's been doing a pretty bang up job since he joined us. He's been a common denominator for a lot of our success. It'll be a shame if there's something about him which also puts players off.

I cannot understand this idea that Ralph is a motivational speaker...he comes over as a nice enough guy, but he couldn't inspire me to eat a bar of chocolate.

As for Les, he may appear another grey man, but he has been the football expert on the management team during some of our best years.

make jos caretaker manager.

They are even mentioning the Brighton bloke who's just resigned. HIGH calibre, F**k off!!!!!!!

Reed may want a patsy, someone who will accept his transfer budget, targets & suggestions for team selections.

We don't know if Cortese kept a lid on Reed's ambitions. He may be taking advantage of an inexperienced new board structure to increase his influence.

Fair enough, I'm all for a bit of comedy indignation, let face it, its laugh or cry at the moment. Just seen on SSN that Lambert has his medical tomorrow, while I watch re runs of his goals in a saints shirt <somersault>

Certainly is.....we need something positive and a figure to show us there is some control, please, some good news cos chairman it don't feel the club is in the best position ever to me right now.
Feels like you're cashing in and doing a LOWE
