If you can love a face a nun would happy slap all day long, such as Wilshere's then im sure they would take to Suarez quite easily.

Can't help feeling that we've got the wrong manager there. What England needs more is a motivator rather than a tactician, in other words Harry not Woy. There is too little time to train as a team and implement anything complex anyway, plus you have the problem of massaging those million pound egos. The best you can hope for is to get them to play up to their league form, which several managers have failed to do in competition. Of course in a relatively short tournament anything is possible, but on balance I'd rather Harry was boss.

Agreed. To give him credit, Hodgson was a decent pick to nurse a truly nothing squad through the round robin. You could argue that's what there is this time around as well, but I disagree. It's not a world beater, but there's enough youth, speed and goal scoring this time to give England fans some entertainment, for once--if just about the exact wrong man wasn't in charge.

The only Harry who could get this England team through their group and to the latter stages of the WC would be Houdini

I just watched a Jack wilshere interview on Sky re WC.

What an overrated, self loving, ugly twat!

I hope he suffers a niggle which puts him out. I'd rather even have Henderson than that prick!

No doubt wilshere will continued to be picked for the next ten years based on being in the 'boys' network.

And as usual all we can hope for is to get out of the group stages for the next few WCs if we are really lucky!

If Wilshere wasn't a footballer he'd have a succession of ASBOs followed by jail time. He's such a thick **** its not even funny.

Paul Scholes says that England should play likve Liverpool.

So, dive all over the place, celebrate as if they;ve already won with five games left, blow a 3-0 lead in the space of 15 minutes and get comfortably beaten by someone's reserves?

You missed out have your captain slip up in the big games (thats covered) and score own goals, which shouldn't be an issue either.

Pulis would be the right manager for England. He gets a pile of **** to play well as he organises them well. However, we don't stand a chance because it take 14-21 days to acclimatise (I know, I've worked at altitude in the heat). We should be there now getting used to it, not playing at ****ing Wembley this Friday and then going on a ****ing jolly to Miami.

I doubt the England players that are treated so favourably by Referees while wearing a Liverpool shirt will receive the same favourable treatment from the World Cup officials, we can only hope that the great British love of all things Liverpool has spread far and wide into the minds of the international Referees and England receive plenty of soft free kicks, soft penalties and have the benefit of doubt with bad tackles etc.

Players who are Wilshirey just turn my stomach. Chief offender (other then Wilshire): Wayne Rooney. Rosicky becomes Wisherey a surprising number of times, though, I have to say. I can't believe he came by it naturally, it's just that Wilshire seems to have rubbed off on him. When I see a player spend his time trying to annoy the other players, then rolling around on the turf, then whining at the ref...

It's obscene that England isn't acclimatizing properly. Why is it that on the topic of sports medicine, English football always seems to utilize the best practices of 1893.

I posted this a couple of years back in response to a question as to whether tits counted for offside in women's football.
