Sky still saying could be a few days. Odd its taking so long.
Still talking over the last few details...money, money, money.

I wouldn't assume it, but let's say you are right. Total investment of what £90m - how much do you think the club is worth?
Pretty tidy return on investment no?
Lerner is looking for £200m for villa now.
Fulham sold for 150-200m
Yeah, given the changes in TV income alone I can't see how a valuation from 2007 would be anywhere near accurate any more.
Well I'm glad that you think Pochettino was such a good shag. However his win ratio was no better than Strachan, Dave Jones, or Chris Nicholl, and it was way lower than Hoddle's. Maybe you just like his cute smile and sexy accent.
Well let's put it into context: the amount Lerner is looking for is more than what Napoli are worth as of the 7th of May this year, and he's still making a £100m loss.
Lerner has apparently spent £300m on them.

Fulham are expensive due to location.
he's not basing the price on what he's spent. the price is based on what he's got. he spent 300m because he chased CL and lost.
we can expect to sink more than that if we chase CL.
And how is he supposed to improve his tactics exactly, when you only give him six months in the job, and a largely Championship-level playing squad?
maybe i'm not following the tangent of the conversation but i still equate southampton with approximately the value of villa and fulham (i don't believe it's a piece of piss to turn your stadium into real estate money and be handed a replacement stadium close by at a profit)
what a club outside of the premier league is notionally worth is more difficult to compare.
The tangent is a simple one: when you invest in a football club, the value does not increase by an amount as high as the money you spend on it. You make a loss. I have used Champions League teams as examples of how Randy Lerner would have made a loss even if he had succeeded in his goal.
You seem to have moved the goalposts frankly. Nobody is arguing that football is a profitable business for most clubs, what we are arguing is that if Southampton was sold today, it would be sold at a profit. That seems pretty inarguable to me.
If this becomes a "Nigel Adkins would have done what MP did anyway" place, I think I'll have to unplug my computer. Nigel was a lovely man and I will always be grateful for what he did; however MP took us on a couple of levels. If you really are unsure about that, ask the players.
Yes, but wouldn't it also make him a deserter?
