I take it the 2m is/has been agreed/paid, Saints must have given permission to Spuds to speak to him....so really there's no going back really, he must have rejected Saints offer, and wants to move on. Hopefully the players will see its part of football, and there could be another manager coming who can take us to another level. Let's face facts when Adkins was sacked and after that hurt subsided....we were all thinking WHOOOO? Never heard of him.

For the millionth time, managers don't need anyone's permission to talk to anyone (though I agree with your general point).

On one side MP was sold on the basis that Saints were an ambitious team and I believe under Cortese's reign we probably were. He might argue that he has been lied too.
On the other hand he has been banging on about there being a year left on his contract, and it would be nice for him to honour it.
It seems that we have weak inexperienced leadership. I hope I am wrong

Ironically there is one manager who does need permission to talk to other clubs, and he's the manager I'd like the most.

So here it is, Poncho is on his way to managing us. Can't say I'm surprised as this was classic Levy and I knew there would be "Pochettino in talks with Tottenham" at some stage appearing on BBC. I also can't say I'm that excited and sadly for you, you're losing a manager to a club whos fans (overall) aren't sitting with a big grin and exciting thoughts about the future as Poncho is going to struggle to get to grips with the Spurs job, its such a different type of club then Saints, but as I said before, hes clearly ambitious and has decided to take the risk so while you won't be hoping for him to be a success, I hope he proves me (and other Spurs fans wrong).

Nope but it's a sort of pact between clubs to ask before you approach.

Are you sure about that. I thought teams had to give permission which is why a number had to resign before they could speak to anybody. Remember Mike Walker at Norwich and some others.

If MP goes I think he has acted without honour

Your board has just made a very good decision for once. Get behind the man.

Not completely but I always thought it was more of out of respect then legal. They still have to buy out the managers contract btw so maybe that's why a few have resigned.

TBH I think we should now wait till after the WC to appoint a replacement. Many international coaches contracts come to a natural end so there will be more quality about.

On MoPo. **** him if he cant even see out his contract.
