First I can find. A Spurs rumour page credited some guy, I checked his page, and he credited this guy. Can't find anything with an earlier timestamp, and this lad certainly doesn't seem the sort to be messing around in Photoshop - he's certainly not playing the picture up.

Nothing from Sky or any papers even to say they have been allowed to talk to Pochettino. With something like this you wouldn't be able to keep it so quiet that only a dodgy pic is all there is to show.

I did a bit of digging earlier, cutting the photo into parts and isolating figures and running image ID searches, nothing.

So it suggests it is a unique picture and these figures haven't featured elsewhere and simply been lifted out and pasted in.

That's why it's so weird. It's either a very clever fake or nothing to do with Spurs training ground or the 3rd choice it's real and at Spurs training ground but no press are touching the story at all? Doesn't make sense to me.

Madrid winning puts a stop to the already unrealistic rumour of Anceloti coming to us if sacked.

Laudrup isn't a option as too risky and sources have said we won't be looking at any managers in unemployment.

Benitez is a possibility because he has Pl experience but spent a fortune with Liverpool and caused issues at inter because the chairman wouldn't back him and was sacked. I don't want him.

So out of the other names it looks to be either Mopo or De Boer. Mopo has the advantage because he's settled in England and levy wants a manager who isn't shy of using youth.

De Boer worked with Eriksen at Ajax and is a famous name but managing Ajax in the Dutch league isn't a huge challenge so it's a massive risk.

Then there is Premier league manager of the year, Tony Pulis.

Would have voted on the Mirrors poll about the next Spurs manager, but they didn't have an ABP (anyone but Pochettino) choice. :)

Like many, I would have thought this would have the papers all over it...unless there is a media injunction out and I can't see any judge doing it for this. Also the media usually moan about such things and drop hints. Perhaps they are losing interest in us...unlikely.

I think, apart from Saints and Spurs fans, they are about this story. Even with the "photo" (I'm sure it's Poch and sons being greeted at the entrance to Asda) there's been little meat on this manky bone for the rest of the footy world to chew on.

Either Levy's playing a blinder or it's smoke and mirrors. But ? expect another peak of interest now the CL final is over, and the World Cup stuff yet to get going.

My hope rests on reports (from Spurs "sources" ie forums) that it's a condition from Levy that Poch has to speak english in interviews. Doesn't sound like the kind of stuff he'd put up with.

Poch can speak English in interviews..at least as good as other foreign managers...but he lacks confidence. Can't see that being a deal breaker for either side...that really is just twitter talk gaining strength by being repeated in the media. This mustn't be allowed to drag on any longer...there are players to buy and a preseason to plan.

I wouldn't take much notice of these fake photos, the TWITter generation will do anything they can to use "proof" they are ITK, plus most of these spurs forums have sections called "ITK" where a bunch of morons pretend they know information when the reality is they are likely to spend their mornings in a greasy cafe with a tablet, trawling the web for gossip!

It has been known for some time now that the internet is infested with children who have lost all sense of reality and truth.

Once upon a time it was newspapers, advertisers and politicians who lied to you but now it is everyone.

haha, true. I have to remind myself that the internet isn't what it was when I started. i was probably the low end of the age range at the start.

When we got our first modem was almost as big a moment as when we got our first video.:)

I don't want him to go partly because there are SO many Spurs fans saying "oh he's not good enough/not a winner".

They really, really, really don't deserve someone good, do they?

This.

Some have a very inflated idea of their importance in the World of football today. While our club has the potential to be special I like to think the experience of falling to L1 has left fans with a decent grip on reality and some perspective.

You'd think P*ssing the Bale money away with modest rewards would temper their view, but no.

Tottenham are a big club, whether we like it or not. In terms of fan base and financial muscle they equal, if not better, Arsenal, so really they should be equaling their rival's success. I'd be pissed off being a Spurs fan, seeing both Arsenal and Chelsea constantly in the Champs League and winning things etc. Can totally understand why they would want a 'bigger name' than Poch.

Noooooo sir, that they do not. Having lived in North London for over 30 years, I can assure you that even the most deluded Spurs fan would not claim a fan base that comes close to Arsenal's. Though most of the older one's might consider Chelsea to be upstarts.

what tottenham have is a stadium a few thousand bigger than us and a sponsorship deal a couple of tens of millions bigger than ours.

if we could hold it together for five or so years, who knows what we could get sponsorship wise.

everton's is fairly low, i know, but when was that negotiated?
