Some nice racing today, and Ferrari lets their blokes compete with each other! Vettel showed he is a good driver from 15th and a bad start to 4th, but the Mercedes looking far too strong for the rest. Rosberg did well to keep the pressure on Hamilton until the end - another lap and he would have had him. I share Andy's hunch for him to be champion at the end, much better temperament than Hamilton.
The home GP starting grid 1 Nico Rosberg 2 Sebastian Vettel 3 Jenson Button 4 Nico Hulkenberg 5 Kevin Magnussen 6 Lewis Hamilton 7 Sergio Perez 8 Daniel Ricciardo 9 Daniil Kvyat 10 Jean-Eric Vergne 11 Romain Grosjean 12 Jules Bianchi 13 Max Chilton 14 Esteban Gutierrez 15 Pastor Maldonado 16 Adrian Sutil 17 Valtteri Bottas 18 Felipe Massa 19 Fernando Alonso 20 Kimi Raikkonen 21 Marcus Ericsson 22 Kamui Kobayashi Should be an interesting race!
I'm really looking forward to this one. It won't take Hamilton long to be hassling Rosburg and could be a bit feisty. Also interesting to see the McLarens up the grid, they must have lots of upgrades.
I don't expect Button to get a podium tomorrow, a top five finish would be more realistic with the car they have this year.
That was excellent driving from Massa. He saved his legs and probably kimis life there. The Alonso vettel stinging match was hilarious, vettels pass should not stand, he had 4 wheels off the track.
Delighted with the overall results. Lewis finally gets a little bit of luck. That said, there was nothing unlucky about his foolish performance in qualifying!! One more win and Lewis edges ahead - had NR not cheated in Monaco Lewis might already be ahead.* *That was mostly said for a reaction, apologies for the minor wumming. In reality, I think NR has done fantastically well this year to win the mental battle and keep himself ahead of his (arguably) naturally faster team-mate. Should be a cracking end to the year now.
