Stupid stupid stupid stupid ****s-our board have no idea about football but have to get behind him and pray it doesn't go completely tits up- I fear the worst - nO way we'll keep as many players now
Strange no congratulatory tweets from senior players. Our squad is going to be ravaged. I wouldn't stay.
McNally can play hardball all he likes and say nobody's leaving cheap, but having a manager the players are keen to play for would have worked wonders.
Ok, i'm struggling but like always we need to get behind a new manager so here are some positives. 1) He has promised: "The priority is to ensure that attacking, attractive and winning football is once again the norm for supporters of this club, and I can assure everyone that we will all be working as hard as possible to achieve our objective of returning this club back to where it belongs." 2) He knows the club's youth players well and has worked with some of our up and coming players. 3) He is passionate about our club and is obviously not a mercenary. 4) His wages will not bankrupt the club. 5) ok, struggling now...anyone else?
There is just a constant stream of reasons why this is all wrong. Everything points towards failure. The fans reject the idea No name to attract players Shows a lack of ambition Cheap No experience of anything of substance Bryan Gunn Terry Connor General perceptions Not learning from recent history What on earth was going on in their heads.
The last time i felt like this is when Mike Walker got the job so that the only thing im clinging on too right now! Obviously turned down by the so called favourites. Oh well, you never know.
I feel the same way as all of you, but surrounding the club in negativity isn't going to help our cause in the slightest. The appointment has been made. We now hope we hold onto key players in the Summer and see where our squad is in August. I'll be supporting the club on the opening day of next season as vehemently as ever. As Neil Adams is now manager of the club I love then I'll be supporting him too.
Of course, but feck me, Delia and Michael are no longer the best thing for NCFC if they are the reason for this appointment.
Bore off. I'm sick of this carp. The board created this negativity, not the fans. This was the perfect chance to move forward, they don't. This will go the same was as gunn. The only hope being that we find a Paul Lambert to rescue us early on.
so, everyone happy with that decision then? f**king hell, you know its bad when i completely agree with carrabuh. i can only assume malky has turned us down because if adams was first choice i think my head will explode. i fear that our fa youth cup win has gone to the heads of one or two members of our board. i watch that youth side a lot and although they are pretty good for norwich, they are not brilliant and we were a tad fortunate to win that competition (as any team that wins a cup competition generally is at some point). neil adams, nice bloke that he is is not a football manager. i've met him, i've talked to him before - he doesn't enthuse me in the slightest. that's not his fault, that's just who he is. this looks to me as though they want to get as many youth team products come through and that's fine if they are good enough, but not many of ours are and there is absolutely no question a huge swathe of current first teamers will have seen this decision and already started packing their things. if we had been relegated two years ago i could sort of understand gambling like this but not when we are at our strongest in terms of ability at this level. we are likely to blow all the hard work from the past 5 years. getting relegated was a downer (literally) but it was not the end of the world and with the right appointment we could have stamped our authority all over the championship. instead we are viewed as weak, easy pickings and quite rightly. very, very disappointed tonight, no, furious, but of course, it goes without saying, i will back adams and the team come august. however i can't help but feel that this is the biggest wasted opportunity this club will ever have. ps. no chance is this a mcnally decision. definitely not.
What would you have us do? They're not going to change manager before the start of the season. Negativity will only have a detrimental effect on the team's performance. Which is absolutely the most important thing to me as a supporter.
