But they can only pick 13 "foreigners"

That are over 21.

Thirteen isn't that bad when you consider their regular first choice keeper (Hart) and left back (Clichy) both qualify as home grown, as does on of their back up keepers (Wright)

I'm guessing associated is trained with any English or Welsh club whereas home trained is with the club in question only. No idea if that is right or not

Didn't realise there was any stipulation about being trained with the club. City have not got any of them I'd have thought. They are screwed if the reduction to 21 players takes in overseas players only!

Even though he was bought by City and is a French international Gael Clichy is "home grown" This is because he was at Arsenal as a youngster and was there for a number of years.I presume he wpold be regarded as "association trained"

Yep, get that thanks <ok> I was more interested in the "home trained". The fact Clichy was with you guys would mean that he wouldn't count for City as one of the 4 "home trained" players, and I can't think of any that would. Richards maybe, but he looks to be on his way. Would mean they have a squad of 17 next season - 13 overseas and 4 association trained.

City also managed to get away with only one home-trained player last season, so if there is a rule about there having to be four then City don't seem to care anyway...

Lots of rumours circulating that Fabregas wants to leave Barca.

Also this quote. Cesc Fabregas: "If I ever return to the Premier League then there's only one team I'm going to join, Arsenal."

Would ****ing love it!

It was my understanding that the rule worked so tgat any player who had played for your club for 2 years or more before their 20th birthday counted as home grown.

And any player who had played for a club within your association for 2 years or more before their 20st birthday then they are associstion/nation trained.

But equally I could be wrong
