Better Together: "If you go it alone you'll be kicked out of the EU"

Erm...

Chances are we're more likely to end up out of the EU because of the way middle-England votes (sound familiar?).

People criticize the Yes side and they're right, there are lots of arseholes and dafties just as there are in any large group of people but let's look at the ****e the other side are threatening us with: no Doctor Who, Eastenders etc.; we'll be a gateway for terrorists; it would dishonour the memory of WWI soldiers; we'd face roaming charges on our mobile phones (even though the EU outlawed them); "we're too wee, too stupid" etc.; the economy will collapse; the oil will run out and on and on...

We heard all this ****e and more when we voted for devolution. Guess what? The sky didn't fall in. The economy didn't collapse. Hadrian's Wall didn't need to be rebuilt.

Things wont be perfect in an independent Scotland. There will be problems to overcome just as there are many, many problems we will have to face if we stay in the Union. Just look at the national opinion polls for a start. If anyone thinks Labour is going to win the General Election next year they're living in cloud cuckoo land. Vote No in September and there's a very realistic chance that next year we will be governed by a Cameron-led Conservative party with a working majority and no coalition partner to keep it in check. And do you think a party that kowtows to right-wing, middle-class England is going to give a **** about Scotland?

Aye, it's a scary step going for independence but is the Union working for us? I believe that we would prosper if we go it alone and I also believe that it would be good for the rest of the UK.

To paraphrase:

Things are **** in Scotland and will continue to be so in Independent Scotland, just look at the arseholes supporting Yes to see how scummy they are. These ****s will be in charge in Independent Scotland.

If you don't vote for independence, then Labour won't come to your rescue because the Evil Tories will get in and they won't be kept in check by Clegg & co and the Tories will only work for the evil rightwing and middle-upper class English toffs which represent 10% of the English electorate the scummy English ****s.

It will be better for the Irish, Welsh and Northern English that they are punished by the evil southern Tories and the unelected upper class toffs who just want to eat gay black babies whilst the scumbags in the Yes campaign ravage Scotland in the name of independence.

My girlfriend's English. Two of my best mates are English. I usually holiday in England. I like England.
