    Unbelieveable - so much venom.

I only created this thread as I was genuinely interested in how we intended to develop our stadium in the future and whether anyone "knew" waht was going on. As I mentioned, there has been very little in the way of public announcements and I believe we need to do something soon. Quite a simple and non-contraversial subject and now >50% of the posts are aggressive / abusive.

    Poor.

Personally don't want us to leave SB. Born/bred Hammersmith and still cycle to the ground.

If we can increase stadium to 55k then stay.

If we move, make it worth our while, 65k

You have to put this solely down to the wumming visitors who are clearly hell bent to cause disruption. but it was a good thread before they run it into the ground.

What started out as a post that really should only intrest chelsea fans , after all its us that will be affected whatever happens soon attracts the usual scouse spurs posters trying to turn it into a personal vendetta page. I thought they would be more intrested in their own stadium developments, but then again who knows if it would affect them or if they even attend matches on a regular basis

It would seem we have a problem here with visitors, personally I have not commented on Liverpool's ground extension/new stadia so why they would want to comment on ours is somewhat puzzling but the op's comment at #18, I can't see a particular problem with it.

I know from my avid footballing days as a younger man in the early 80's that Liverpool & United fans more often than not rolled up late & half pissed without tickets. That much is documented and I think I read LOEC made a reference that he experienced this then also. Seems a whole lot of something based on nothing.

Thankfully you don't get to decide who can and cannot comment on threads.

Only the simple minded would buy your second paragraph, although admire your loyalty to try to dig Ossie out of his hole. If he/you could just apologise for what was clearly a Hillsborough comment, then it would all die away.

For all the talk of derailing threads, it seems that Chelsea fans want to keep commenting on this. The Pool fans seem to have settled for waiting on a judgement from your mods - not that they show any signs of it.

Im not going to sit here and say I know Ossie's intent behind the remark and I dont want to come out as an Uncle Tom, but clear heads need to prevail in these situations or it will just become a bitch fest.
All I would say is that he must have known that it would be construed as a Hillsborough comment which is why I asked him why in the hell he would say it!!
Whether he meant it that way or not, it was always going to rile Pool fans.

No one asked your opinion and as a visitor with a penchant for the odd turd stirring I personally don't see how you can. Based on what I've read and heard over the past three days there seems to be an agenda against Chelsea fans on their own board, you have the choice of what you read or are you a Mary Whitehouse character?

The second paragraph has no baring on Hillsborough and the fact that those two clubs did have an element of fans that turned up late & drunk without tickets is fact although that was 5 or 6 years before that tragic day. Whether you believe it or not I can see you already have your hangman's hat on.

I'd imagine the reason why no action has been taken is because there is no action to take, I know exactly what Ossie was referring too and so does LOEC and other's. The rest have just been caught up in the furore of finger pointing and baying for blood. Fact is if we did that on here we would be no better than the Spurs, Arsenal & Liverpool mods banning people at a whim of crying wolves.

Actually I'm putting myself up for the vacant Mod job, I have all the right credentials, age, experience and I can assure you this **** won't happen on my shift.

    Have a nice day :)

Robby, Im not neccessarily saying that Ossie made that remark about Hillsborough, my point is, knowing what we know about Liverpool fans on here, How could he think for one second that some Pool fans wouldnt immediately jump on it and call Hillsborough!! He surely must have known that.

I didn't make the remark with Hillsborough in mind and if anybody wants to take the trouble to rake through my comment history they will see that I have never made any comments re any disaster baring the Spud Juggernaut being derailed. Im afraid people will make of things that they want to but its not the first time we have seen the faux outrage on this board of its wum visitors.

If they don't like it then don't read it or comment on it......simples really. This whole board is awash with thousands of opinions, chances are you're not going to like everything what we have seen here is a disaster nazi pointing fingers at everyone when the problem is him.

Mate I believe you.....but try to be mindful that if you mention anything re: Unruly fans in regard to Liverpool, they are going to call Hillsborough. You know they will <ok>

Mmmm, dont agree with that tbh. You think we jump on it for the sake of it?

    Read this link

    http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/hillsborough-documents-released-brian-reade-1318730

This is a section taken from it

"Tony Edwards, the only professional ambulanceman to reach the Leppings Lane end, recalled what happened outside the ground. He said: " A policeman came to my window and said, ' You can't go on the pitch, they 're still fighting'."

He went on nonetheless, but his job was made impossible by the scale of the casualties.

The memory of bodies being piled on to his ambulance, of people pleading with him to take their friends and loved ones, of the anarchy that made his job impossible, haunts him to this day.

But what haunts him most is the knowledge that he was the only paramedic trying to help. He said: "There were 42 ambulances, including mine, waiting outside the stadium. That means 80- odd trained staff could have been inside the ground. They weren't allowed in because they were told there was fighting.

"But there was no fighting. The survivors were deciding who was the priority, who we should deal with. The police weren't. We weren't . Can you imagine a rail accident where all the ambulances wait on the embankment while survivors bring the casualties up?"

Of the 94 who died that day ( 14-year-old Lee Nicol died four days later and 18-year-old Tony Bland had his life support machine turned off in March 1993) only 14 made it to hospital.

Trevor Hicks was one of the few who got a loved one into Tony Edwards' ambulance. He was trying to resuscitate his 19- year- old daughter Sarah when he spotted her 15- year- old sister Victoria being placed into the ambulance.

Too little, too late: An ambulance makes it way onto the pitch

Trevor tried to push Sarah in alongside her but the bodies were piled high and he had to lay her back on the pitch.

He said: " The ambulance started to move away. I saw the door close and I had to make a decision in that split-second. I thought 'the fella with Sarah knows what he's doing, I'll leave her with him and another ambulance will be along in a minute'."

Another one never came and both of his girls died. Trevor, now 63, added: "In the ambulance, I was sucking the vomit from Vicky's throat. I couldn't get rid of that taste for six months.

"A psychiatrist said I was either trying to hang on to the last contact with my daughters or it was guilt - I was punishing myself for not saving them.

"The hurt I suffered that day was so extreme I can't be hurt any more."

Outside the ground as we devastated fans made our way home grief turned to rage when word spread that we were being blamed for the disaster.

The FA's Chief Executive Graham Kelly, told the media that the policeman in charge, Chief Superintendent David Duckenfield, had accused us of kicking down an exit gate and flooding the terraces.

Duckenfield, in charge of his first big football match had given the order to open the gate without ensuring the thousands who entered Leppings Lane would be funnelled into the outside pens.

He had seen the over- crowding and suffering on the terraces on CCTV cameras with zoom facilities and done nothing. And when asked for an explanation he mouthed something he believed outsiders would buy."

    ---------------

How sad is the bold bit, its truley beyond anything you or I could imagine and these digs are putting me off the site. I dont mean just this page, I mean the entire place

There were plenty of posters thought he meant that though. Only he knows though obv

But then to be followed up by this

    I know DR.
I was only 8 or 9 when it happened but I remember it being all over the news and, not that it encapsulates the reality of the situation, but I saw the film they did of Trevor Hicks with Christopher Ecclestone playing him, was truly tragic.

Do I think that posters have made snide Hillsborough remarks before? Yes
Do I think SOME Liverpool fans look to see Hillsborough comments where there are none? Yes

Its one of those things where people need to tread carefully. And I am not looking to argue with anyone either, I wish we could just get on with it and not have this argument every 10 minutes. Whether Ossie meant it or not, and I believe him when he says he didnt, as soon as the comment was made I knew what was coming, which is why I was like "Why? <doh>".

Most of the Liverpool fans on here are good fun, there are only two I particularly despise (AstroTurd and Foreskindave). You, Sisu, RHC, PMK etc have sensible banter with us and its mostly fun.
Likewise as an objective person I can say that there are people on the Chelsea board (blues fans) who I feel sometimes are a little zealous in there "banter", one of these individuals has recently been banned. Which is a shame because when I talk Chelsea with them, they are cool as cucumbers, then a rival fan comes along and they go all tribal and frothy mouthed :)

TBF the Dr Says has been tribal himself and I am sure had any Chelsea fan said as much as he has they would have been banned from the Liverpool board for sure. I believe KO has been banned from their board even though he has never posted on it and that is just wrong and absurd. This whole charade has gone too far and those in question need to go out and come back in again with a different attitude.
