The argument that having the best car rather than the best driver rears its head except that Vettle cant even beat his own no 2 when the car is mot at its best. At least Hamilton won a few races when the Maclaren was not the best car in the field.

Lewis and Seb are both very good drivers in my opinion! It may get interesting as the teams will all be adding there 1st round of upgrades to these new cars by the next race.
Some of the bigger teams upgrade packages cost millions of £$£$£ so may change the field a little. I still think Mercedes will win the constructors.
Hope so, I'm expecting the teams with Mercedes engines to catch up a bit, and McLaren in particular have some work to do. Renault powered teams, like poor old Caterham, look screwed though.
I was also thinking about McLaren! With the money they have and as you say the Merc engine they may well start to challenge for more podiums.
I forgot Red Bull use Renault engines too. Just shows how much I know about anything. Christian Horner used to go to my son's old school. He's a decent bloke, but they are almost as bad losers as Ferrari.
You don't get to be No.1 by being good losers, it's totally cut-throat at that level, hence the constant appealing against penalties that are really clear-cut and one team complaining about rivals cheating whether they are or not. Sadly, racing is the one thing that seems to be going out of fashion with these emasculated cars nowadays...
Bahrain was a great race mate, lots of battles all through the field, and Shanghai had plenty of overtaking, its just not very competitive at the front. These are still very powerful cars.
The fact that the Mercedes can do a lap just one second slower than last year, in a car that uses nearly half as much fuel and is much quieter is amazing. These cars are incredible .
New upgrades may help but over the last 4 years all team had upgrades and they still couldn't match Red Bull.
Another pole for Hamilton and the Mercedes a full second faster than the rest. So much for the upgrades everyone else was bringing.
I like it as you can hear the tyre squeal. Maldonado warming up for today. please log in to view this image
