There'll always be some who like Rob & some who are infuriated by him at times.

If it is his last season with us then thank you Rob & good luck.

He deserves recognition for what he's done with City.

He scored some important goals for City in our promotion season. At the time when our strikers like Jay Simpson, Nick Proschwitz, Aaron Mclean etc couldn't hit a barn door.

Top guy, great player for us, but all good things come to an end, am sure his wages will be spent wisely next season on a younger more regular player

He infuriated me as much as anything else towards the end but as you say he deserves recognition. Particularly the goals Party pointed out against Leicester and Watford. He was at one point our best attacking player and goal threat.

He barely saw any of the ball in the first half against Man United, as we spent most of it in our own half and he was playing behind long. When we switched things at half time he came into the game far more and I thought he played off Fryatt really well.

His best years are obviously behind him and he's not a starter, but I think he's really useful to have on the bench and I'll be disappointed to see him go.

According to that we haven't given Harper another year either, which might turn out to be a good thing.

I thought Harper's contract had a clause were if he played a set number of first team games he automatically gets another year? And he surpassed that weeks ago.

His Leicester goal was just amazing, Pearson thought he had the draw he had come for then Robbie blasts it in the top corner from outside the box. Had everyone of us on our feet, memorable.

I don't understand how you could possibly suggest getting rid of Brady. If the doctors think his injury will get better I would trust their judgement. He has been the player we've missed the most this season, we have no natural width on the left and a complete lack of creativity that would have been provided by him and Aluko. He was on top form pre injury and at the time was playing like one of the best wingers in the league. To replace someone like him would cost £5m+.

This ^ Brady will be like a new and expensive player for us next season. Also Meyler, he's been one of our best players this season, reminds me of Ashbee with his lack of flair, but being so effective in other areas. Yes there are better players out there Mel, but they don't play for us, and we can't afford them.

See, I don't think he has. I think he's been average over the course of the season; agaisnt Liverpool and Sheffield United he was outstanding, but he's so frustrating to watch, he gives the ball away far too much and his high centre of gravity means he spends a lot of time on the deck. If he played like he did against the aforementioned teams, he'd be an £8-10m player, but as he is I find him too inconsistent. He's a good squad player to have, but I think in Quinn, Huddlestone and hopefully Livermore we have better midfield options.

Here's my list of players who I would not complain if they went.

Harper
Jakupovic
Bruce
Faye
Brady
Figueroa

Koren
Boyd
Quinn
Aluko
Meyler

All of those I have put in bold are stupid suggestions to get rid of.

I mean, really? Meyler has been one of our best players this season for crying out loud.

As that Leicester game has been mentioned a fair bit....

...probably about the only time we ever got more than 30 seconds on the Football League Show.

I did say that I would not complain if they went, not that I want them to go.

I also said that it is only Brady's injury that makes me think that. He has been out a long time and his recovery does not look like its coming through anytime soon. With limits to squad size, should we keep hold of him and "miss" him for part of next season as well.

Meyler is a player who I like but as one poster has said he is inconsistent.

We have to improve the squad so if five out of my list go and "better" players are brought in fine by me.

So, because Meyler is inconsistent, you wouldn't be bothered to see him go.

By that logic, you wouldn't mind to see nearly every player in the squad go then.

We really need younger home grown talent in the squad. I do like Koren, but he is not the player he once was and we have to improve the squad. Towards the end of the season it has become obvious that we lack the strength in the squad. We are at the moment still a team formed for the Championship, that has had a few players brought in the strengthen it. Don't get me wrong, stepping up to the PL in the way we did, meant that we would always have the same problem, it is the same for nearly all promoted clubs. We had died off towards the end of the season when other more established sides have not.

Here's my list of players who I would not complain if they went.

Harper
Jakupovic
Bruce
Faye
Brady
Figueroa
Koren
Boyd
Quinn

Aluko
Meyler

Players in bold are likely to stay, but I would not be upset if they left.
Brady is included only because I think his injury is significant.
Boyd is absolutely great as an impact sub, but is not consistent enough for me.
Aluko is gone already (I believe).
Meyler does a great job, but I think there are better players out there.
Quinn needs starts and therefore could go.
Figueroa has a problem in his head, could be fantastic but something is wrong.

Do we have enough money to replace these players?

You have updates on Brady's injury Mel ?

I still think he'd be good from the bench.

pre Long-Jelavic, our best strike-partnership performance this season was Koren-Sagbo against Fulham. Not sure why it hasn't been used more when Long or Jelavic are unavailable. Possibly worth looking at a 4-3-3 against Arsenal with Sagbo and Koren either side of Fryatt?

Probably because it was ****e and why Bruce splashed on two strikers. <ok>
