So ****ing what? I live in Haringey. Guess how many Tories have been elected here in the last 20 years? No MPs and not one ****ing councillor, but I'm not calling for independence for Haringey. It's a bullshit argument Mick. "I don't like or accept the democratic decision of the wider community, so I'm going to scuttle off and do things my way". Where does it end? "I don't like the laws governing the people in my street, so **** it, I'll have my own laws".

Anyway, what's it got to do with you? Aren't you meant to be Irish, with zero attachment to the UK?

<laugh> Are you being serious?

Scotland = A country

Haringey = A town

For 12 long years we English endured scotch socialists destroying our country, it goes both ways.

Beelin'

I think the whole debate is whether or not Scotland should be seen as an extension of England - just like somewhere like Haringey - or it should be in charge of its own affairs. The ultimate government in control of Scotland, the country, right now, is led by a party very few people in Scotland voted for. Lots of people in England don't like Brussels arrogating English sovereignty, why shouldn't the Scots (or Irish, or Welsh) feel the same?

With my United Kingdom citizen hat on (I don't mind poking my nose into UK business when it suits me - since they were so insistent that I was a UK citizen whilst growing up, with guns and ****) I'm quite entitled to cheer the breakup of the country as much as my fellow citizens in Scotland <ok>

Are you avin a laff?

Are you suggesting that New Labour are Socialist?

They did double the size of the state in 10 years, without being able to afford doing so - which is a pretty Socialist thing to do.

There are virtually no Socialists in Politics in the UK. Zero. That's going by what the word Socialist actually means, not what Murdoch calls anyone with half a conscience.

Pure Socialist politics are dying out in China too. Look what happened when they introduced free market reforms... we didn't have to give them aid, we didn't have to give them fair-trade prices for their rice, we didn't have to do **** all - they grew their own economy all by themselves. 800 million people have been lifted out of poverty thanks to the abandonment of pure Socialism <ok>

I love these wee charts
