Is Barmby still not on good terms with either Assem or Ehab? The way Ehab spoke about Nick in comparison to the way he spoke about Nigel Pearson in that video interview, sounded like he was still friends with Nick despite what had happened.
Where he is now playing and scoring in the late stages of youth cups and getting high standard U21 game time against teams like Liverpool, as compared to here where he would be playing teams like Grimsby.
Why don't Mudbank contact Barmby and ask him? The Cup Final is surely a historic game that someone like NB will have a view on?
We haven't really got an academy. Henderson was released by Arsenal and we snapped him up, but he can't play in the PL otherwise we'd have to register him. If his deal doesn't run past Summer, I'd expect him to leave. Anybody know which of our other youth contracts are up this season?
i think you made the same initial assumption on first reading as i did before i re-read it. he said the son is not currently good enough and didn't pass judgment on father.
It would be nice if the club could invite Nick Barmby, Phil Brown and Nigel Pearson to the FA Cup Final as guests of the club. The same invitation could be offered to Ian Ashbee , Andy Dawson, Boaz Myhill, Ryan France and anyone else who played for the club through all four divisions because they cannot be that many.
Players like Huddlestone etc are testament to this, he went to a big club and for the most part warmed the bench. With smaller teams can develop with game time.
Another off topic, ranty and whiny attention seeking post from you. I never mentioned anything about Nick as a manager, my comments were purely on topic and about Jack who isn't as good as his dad, yet, and is not good enough for our squad, yet. If he gets to that stage, brilliant, good luck to him. I just hope Nick doesn't act like Campbell Snr, which I admit is unlikely, when the lads good enough for a higher level team. We lack the funds for a decent academy set up, we're not in a position to take a punt on young untesteds, unless you were thinking of fronting up the cash, as a gift, to the club for such facilities? No? Stfu then. You should try moving on. The whole "Nick was badly done by" emotional fairy story is history now.
I'm sure Nick would love for Jack to come here, he's been great for Stelling's Pools this Season. I'm sure there's no problems between the Allams and Nick.
