Man Utd have to win both of their remaining games and we have to lose to Villa. That would put them above us on goal difference.
They play Hull at Old Trafford and Southampton away.

Edit: We can still finish 5th if Everton lose both of their games, we beat Villa and there's a 20 goal swing in the GD! <laugh>

Villa are safe so I think we will manage to beat them.

Shame as i really wanted us to avoid Europa next season.

It will really help Utd out not havig midweek games and all that travelling.

He's not. Their squad has a lot of problems in it and it was always going to take more than a season to sort it out, especially when they failed so badly in the summer transfer window. Those backing Giggs and saying Moyes was boring will have had a reality check.

Looks like Van Gaal will be getting a visit from some United officials by the end of the weekend.

Europa League's back on and even the most ardent Sherwood supporters in the media would struggle to criticise his sacking now. Apart from giving the noisy pikeys something to cheer about this has been a decent weekend.

Other than extra competitive games for the squad, ditching it at worst would see
Man Utd on a return to the CL in 2015 being ranked in "pot 2" .
 
Utd proving to be such a versatile, all round team again. We can do it all - win, lose, score, not score, concede, not concede - usually showing the full range of our versatility from one week to the next. It's been quite a while since Utd have been this versatile.
