http://www.theguardian.com/football...duction?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter I still think it is.
Rather a pathetic way to stay up if this were to be successful. The worst 3 teams over the season should go down and unless we miraculously win the final two, that includes us.
Sunderland would be deducted 1pt at best if this were to be overturned, which is very unlikely, sad to see Norwich in the position they're in btw, wish it was someone else
Pathetic! We are ****, least just take our medicine and try and kick on rather than having some legal crap hangover. Keeping CH for too long has ****ed us right up, the writing was on the wall at least 6-8 months ago.
Ffs that's a bloody joke, what kind of mickey mouse outfit would this make us if we stay up via this route. I could understand a club from lower leagues that have had points deducted already complaining but seriously this just makes the club look stupid
God you budgerigars are sore losers! Fancy that a team getting away with breaking the rules with a fine and a slap on the wrist?! Feel the BURN of failure McNally you sad loser!!!
As a Tesco Value Utd. follower you should be an expert in the burn of failure! Yes we are going down but hopefully we'll never sink as low as your level ever again!
This is the Sheff Utd / Wet Sham debacle all over again, ideally I wouldn't want to stay up under these circumstances but with the money involved we do have a case I suppose and I'd take it. Personally I think we are wasting our money trying to fight this as there is no way the Premier League would deduct Sunderland any points now.
Its all ColU Mikes fault anyway, not once this season has he predicted a FACT! come on Mike all we need is for you to post that we are down FACT! please do it before 4pm today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Wouldn't want to stay up this way, and I'd be amazed if it came to anything. Saying that the clubs have a fair point, more often then not a points deduction has been imposed (certainly in lower leagues). From what I have heard the Sunderland case is a bit different, but was still an admin error of sorts which have certainly led to points deductions before. I wouldn't want us battling this through the summer as it doesn't do the club any good.
Ideally nor would I, but it could well be a long way back so IF this were to happen I'd happily take it. I'm not holding my breath though
This is what I find amusing about football fans in general. The club is getting the piss taken out of them by our inferior rivals for even thinking about such action, but the reality in the current climate has to be for any club to do whatever is necessary to ensure football in the top flight (by fair means and within the law). Any club that took this course of action, and succeeded, would almost certainly not have an army of its own supporters writing to complain about it - regardless of which team it is. So to all those, higher than thou 'outsiders', I say piss off, because if the boot was on the other foot, you would secretly be wanting this to happen for the good of your club.
Agreed but can't imagine they'll be deducted enough points to make any difference. But still hoping for 6 points from last two games
Just making yourselves look silly by going to the FA when your club has known about it for months. Hope this doesn't break the fantastic rivalry we have...... But it could.
The club's are only looking into it atm, haven't actually taken its case forward which tbh I don't think they will as we have no case. It's pathetic really and unfortunately DM has made himself look even more like a tool than he did when sacking CH way to late.
We don't look silly, but David McNally might. What he decides to do is what he decides, and there is no point in laying at the door of the entire football club or its fans. I agree it has the potential to damage relations between the two clubs, and that would indeed be sad, but again, this should not be between fans of the two clubs
