Beggars cant be choosers and its dog eat dog in the premiership and if someone has broke the rules then no matter how trivial then Norwich must exploit it reguardless, There is far to much money not to take any avenue that presents itself. If there is a glimmer of hope then use it as everyone else would...

Oh dear, as if we haven't thoroughly embarrassed ourselves enough already this season. Writing was on the wall a year ago. DM needs to take a long look in the mirror and bin off his strongly worded letter.

Football clubs are big business- if there was an opportunity for a company to steal a march on a competitor through any legal mean rather than through producing the better product they would take it - seems a very appropriate analogy. If there was a more equitable distribution of money throughout the leagues, I doubt that a challenge would be made. But football, at least to me, seems more about greed than anything else. We want players to play for the badge- that is now a pipe dream is almost all cases, they couldn't give a flying feck which team they play for and

Cant see it happening! Can't be punished for the same crime twice surely!? And apparently looking more closely at the circumstances, the punishment is within the rules! A points deduction is not compulsory on this occasion! I've read that all premier league teams were made aware of the situation at a meeting months ago, nobody objected at the leniency of the punishment at the time! I think the best you could hope for is financial compensation, or get at least 4 points off Chelsea & Arsenal! Which being a SAFC fan I cant help feeling is not out of the question!!!

Can't see this happening either. We deserve to be where we are and a re-build is required. A good long look at ourselves might do it - the problem when Lambert left was that we were overachieving on a shoe-string budget team, CH then bought in dross who upset the team balance/spirit - basically the beating heart was replaced with a pace maker, we've been dire all season and most of last. Unleash the youth on the Championship - get our passing game back - can't remember hearing that once this season the "Norwich, renowned for being a passing club..." which was once a mantra for all commentators.

Urgh that would make us Apple, nasty.

How many of those saying we should be exploiting this were saying qpr shouldn't be docked points those few years ago?

I can honestly say that I was not one of those calling for QPR to be punished with a points deduction. However, if it came about that they were docked points, then that is for the powers to be decide.
Same applies today, in this scenario - and I doubt anything will come from this.

The only difference I can see with regards to the outcome, is that QPR were handed a massive fine for some wrong-doing, although I don't think it ever became clear as to what the fine was for.

TBF if I was a Norwich fan, I think I might try the legal ploy.

The problem is, it has already been adjudicated..can you imagine if the Premier League now tried to re-open, re-try double jeopardy and all that, what we would do with our lawyers.

If Wsham, when Tevez single-handedly kept them up... when he was not really their player ,did not get a points deduction. How can Ji, who was our player been out on loan and back at home club has a memo not filed...he was useless also we only got one point in the games he played anyhow.

As I say worth a try and I just hope we win the next two games anyhow.

I like Norwich and it is a pity you are probably going down a proper football club. We beat Chavski so why not you?

dont thin double jeopardy is a thing in english law. However i wouldnt want to stay up that way really. You only got one point from that run, so i think it'll end up being a non issue, even for the money men who will try anything to cling on to the wealth of the premier league

What do you mean you wouldn't want to stay up this way...are you mad? I would take any way possible if it was legal and there was a glimmer of chance that my club would stay in the premiership. Im not going to spite my nose to save my face for any other club no matter who they are. Its a dog eat dog world and if the shoe was on the other foot then nobody would care about Norwich and would rather send you down than themselves....

thats the thing. I dont care that much about being in the premiership if it means i have to watch the dross we have served up for quite some time now. We arent at risk financially now, so we can afford to deservedly drop and actually sort out whats important to most of the fans eg. the quality of football being played.

Let's be brutally honest, if we stayed up nothing would significantly improve. It would be the same old dross every week cos that's the level the players are at now... Last time we got relegated didn't do much harm, why can't it happen again. Plus we are in a very strong position to bounce back straight away as long as the right manager is bought in and we invest in the squad again with the funds we get from sales.

I've just taken another look at WBA's fixtures and it's quite possible that they won't get another point.

    Arsenal (A)
    Sunderland (A)
    Stoke (H)

Therefore, all we have to do is beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge and beat Arsenal on the last day ....................... simples ;)

Double jeopardy only applies to being tried for a crime after being found innocent. Sunderland were found guilty this would just be an appeal over the punishment. Personally I hate it when things are decided off the pitch and we have been crap this season, if we won the next two games and miraculously stayed up then awesome but otherwise we don't deserve it and should go down.

I don't really understand why it would be the same dross if Norwich stayed up, so we go down, we have less money and if we get up, have to build again from a weaker position than we are currently in. relegation undoubtedly weakens the development of the club, but it's not the end of the world.

The Sheff u/WHU was completely different to our (SAFC) case, Ji was a SAFC player and it should have been the German club who took him on loan who got the fine not us !, All London clubs get off anyway like WHU, QPR, Spurs 1994 do you know that story, look it up; 12 points deducted and kicked out of the f a cup, but got the points back and re-instated back into the cup and beat us !.
