The walk out was planned in advance and it would be very fickle of them to not do it just because they beat the worst team in the league. It would be like Man Utd fans with the green and gold scarves thrown to the ground as soon as they go a goal up.

The Everton fans were a disgrace though. Between them and Dzeko's simulation for most embarassing moment of the season.

I know it was planned but doesn't make it right. You support your team whatever the circumstances. Protest later but not during a game.

Reading some of this, I just can't believe that some of you, maybe even all of you, don't realise how utterly loathed and despised your club is. Not just by us blues, or the Mancs, but by many others also. You seem surprised.

    You shouldn't be.

    ****ing lol.

The 2nd post about 10 mins after the first, posted without a hint of irony.

The 'City'? What a pile of absolute ****e. I don't remember any of you lot spouting off about what was best for the City, when we were ahead of you in the previous 2 seasons - not one of you wanted us to get CL football then.....so this patronising bollocks about the 'City' now is based solely on the fact that you thought you were going to win the league and in the circumstance wouldn't have minded 'plucky little Everton' getting a CLplace ahead of Arsenal and United.........

You're the epitome of bitterness btw, you absolute joke

I don't buy into it being an embarrassing display by Everton, I thought they had a real go at City. They certainly didn't gift City anything. In the end though the quality players in City's side made the difference.

The fans were abit muted at Goodison, but can you really blame them? I can completely understand why they wouldn't want to gift wrap there local rivals the title. The hypocrisy of it all is hilarious, I recall how happy most Liverpool fans were when Chelsea beat you, which helped them win the title over us, and in that game you definitely could question the integrity of some of your players, with Gerrard passing the ball to Drogba, leaving him one on one with the keeper.

You guys have thrown away the title, by losing at home to Chelsea's 2nd string, so you only have yourselfs to blame. It is not anyone else's fault, other than your own

    piss poor!

just like the integrity of the players when we deliberately lost to Blackburn to gift you the title, hang on a minute didn't happen did it! and who was manager of Blackburn a kop legend!! question the integrity of our players! what a cock

just like Toure back passing and gifting the baggies an equalizer in the last minute or something, mistakes happen! but what's the point arguing with a manc when its only one way the argument will work!!

The Manc doesn't uderstand that the focus of the comments have not been about Everton as a club or the team that played City yesterday or even the result. The comments are directed directly at those who call themselves Everton supporters. As supporters of their team they were a true disgrace. After years of trying to claim that they were the true soul of club support in Liverpool, they were a disgrace. No matter how much you ignore the fact or Tobes rants, they were a disgrace.

Liverpool wining or losing the title will be down to our efforts across the season and the same applies to City. Whoever is crowned Champions will have done that by their own efforts and not by some other clubs result.

For behaving as you did yesterday. When you withdraw your full support from your side by not creating an atmosphere that would motivate your side to perform (win, lose or draw) then you are a disgrace as supporters. You already know it so you can stop trying to play the innocent!

Yes the Everton people (you don't deserve the title of supporters because the majority of you didn't!) were a disgrace to the ideal that they say they hold true to.

Hahahaha, how do like them lemons?

We knew before KO that 5th had been secured, it was therefore a dead rubber for us, so the fact that the atmosphere was subdued is completely understandable.

We supported our side, cheered the goals and that's it.

The fact that in the circumstances we weren't arsed if we didn't win the game due to the impact that it'd have on your shower, is also completely understandable, but we didn't actively chant for it or do anything other than back our lads. Unlike you kopites in 95 and 2010, so save the pious moralising for someone who gives a ****, ****ing hypocrite

I don't blame Everton, if anyone is to blame for not winning the league, it's us...
We didn't do the job against the likes of Villa at home, West Brom/Hull away and we're lulled into a Rope-a-dop by Maureen.
We "may" finish the league level on points with City, but lose on GD..
Not bad for a side many predicted wouldn't finished higher than 6th.
With the right signings, continued attacking threat and a bit more defensive stability I see no reason we can't have another go at the title next year.
I don't buy this "but they'll get stronger with the signings next year...."
We've proved (and Everton) that with the right coaching teams will go far!
