Gruffnuts, I have been a rock-solid supporter of NCFC for over 50 years! While I lived in East Anglia, I used to regularly attend home games, when I lived in London, I regularly attended matches that we played at The Valley, Selhurst Park, The Den ( the old one), Highbury, White Hart Lane, Stamford Bridge, Craven Cottage, and any others that I may have overlooked!

My friends in Sunderland have wide and varied views on everything, not just football but taboo subjects like politics and religion, we can argue our side of the subject as grown ups, no shouting or swearing, no calling each other names, when it is obvious that there will be no common ground, we agree to disagree and move on, no hard feelings, no recriminations, something that has sadly been missing on this forum for quite a while now, so I take exception to your implied criticism, I shall go to the SOL and I will enjoy the football, but more, I will enjoy the company of some civil and friendly companions!

    Rant over!

If it comes to the point where we jacks will have to beat Sunderland to keep you up then consider it as job done <ok>

Shame Sunderland will probably survive even after fielding an illegible player. Was it Rochdale who have just been deducted 3 points for doing the same thing ? <whistle>

Wasn't the same thing at all! Sunderland used a player that was legally signed by them, he then spent time on loan abroad, still registered as a Sunderland player! When he returned, still registered as a Sunderland player, Gus played him, nobody realised that because his loan spell was abroad, he had to get International clearance before playing. Neither the FA nor the EPL realised, but as soon as Sunderland realised they immediately informed the Authorities and were fined! Case closed!

If we (SAFC) had not lost to bloody Villa on new years day, you would have stopped up and they would have went down, you will beat Arsenal reserves I reckon, but Chelsea away ! who have lost 2 consecutive home games for the first time since about 1947 hehe, AND going for the title, asking for them to lose 3 on the trot is impossible, or is it ?. I say watch out for Fulham they have an unbelievable survival record.
This Ji story is a joke. He was a Sunderland player long before the clearance thing, and surely when he went on loan, the international clearance meant for the return as well !, all this red tape.
