All hail, the mighty OODB!

Did I mention the bag over head figure in your sig is wearing a T-shirt from the University which signs my paycheck (I think). I don't know what that means...

OODB, you've had apretty good shout with this.

it looks like you've got the top 4 correct, although in a different order. and the 3 outside the CL places look to be correct too. - again, in a different order.
and Southampton 8th.

I think it's fair to call you "realistic", OODB.

Good effort! <ok>

When I am thought of as realistic, its a good reason for EVERY Spurs fan to worry...

Really? Which university is it then?

I went to University of Athens, Ohio for my sins... go bobcats!!

I'm amazed you think that the team that won the title easily last season, has won it 5 of the last 7 years (and missed by goal difference and one point in the other 2 years) and hasn't been out of the top 3 for 22 years would suddenly drop to 5th! SAF's gone but the players who kicked every ball last season are still there (bar Scholes). I expect Moyes to take time to come to terms with the job, but 5th?

1. City - best team & squad. They should have enough if they sort the away form.
2. Utd - the only other team capable of 80+ points.
3. Chelsea
4. Spurs - bigger/better squad than Arsenal
5. Arsenal - flat track bullies still, but a paper thin squad
6. Liverpool - better than the rest
7. Everton - ditto
8. Swansea - top six potentially, but as last season showed, it's a long, hard season
9. Southampton - decent quality
10. West Ham - should just hold off Stoke, WBA and Newcastle.

This is just funny Lukey :)

Luke was right, Spurm. It seems extremely unlikely that Man Utd will finish 5th! <laugh>

LDL: "2. Utd - the only other team capable of 80+ points."

<laugh><laugh>. quite the clairvoyant. They will now be luck to get past the 65 point mark

Nah not with your squad, it's terrible

Agree. Utd finished where they should have with their squad on paper, considering RVP was back to his glass-self. Fergie factor really was quite substantial wasn't it?

Finished = Will finish (6th or 7th)

Carnegie Mellon, not far away from Athens (Ohio) by US standards. I heard Athens, OH was a fun place if you don't mind bitter cold much of the year. I haven't been there, but give high marks to Athens, Georgia not to mention the one in Greece. Maybe all places named Athens are good.

Oh yeah when the weather hit, it HIT, once was snowbound in a house with only junk food and a particularly dirty 20 year old brunette for company

so I didn't mind AT ALL

I have a lot of contact with Metalphoto of Cleveland, Ohio.

On a tour of the states years ago by Amtrak, I was advised I could take the eastbound train out of Chicago to Crestline, Ohio, then wait about 45 mins for the train heading back to Chicago, then arrive back in time to catch the train to the West Coast, thus saving the cost of staying the night in Chicago (as it takes the whole night to do this). This is of course only relevant if you had an unlimited rail pass like me, meaning that the train has effectively no cost. It is inadvisable to fall asleep and fail to get off at Crestline (but I did get off and spent 45 mins eating pancakes).

None of this is of any relevance to the topic at hand, but it is near the end of the season.

Oh and just remembered that Devo were from Ohio - anyone remember them?

I remember visiting a friend in Oberlin College in Ohio and watching groups of students get seriously organized and massed to make the 200 yard jaunt through -25 Fahrenheit (Five below and twenty mile an hour winds) from one building to the next.

I had a great time too.

From my point of view, once you get past the hills which end about one hundred miles west of Pittsburgh it gets mighty windswept and desolate, making the alternately frozen and steamy swamp that is Pittsburgh seem pleasant by comparison...

Something has to, I guess....

How could I forget a band whose fixed idea was that we were in the midst of a devolutionary cycle which would return us to being pond scum? Great band.

Reading the beginning of this thread is hilarious. Really goes to show you cannot predict what can happen in a competitive league like the Prem. Good to see Spurs signings were as good as you all thought.
