I found:-

David Cohn ina 2000 article in The Independent wrote:-

Jackie Blanchflower, who like most of the Man U players, lived in a house owned by the club, had to vacate it.
"It was made pretty clear we had to leave" says his wife Jean."United were very cold, very harsh, after the Munich crash".

By Jan 1959,Blanchflower was on the dole.Louis Edwards offered him a job in his meat factory loading pies on to lorries, but he declined, working in a succession of jobs until he later had some success as an after-dinner-speaker.

Jackie Blanchflower died of cancer in 1998 at 65.

Sutton's final league game tomorrow,at relegation haunted Whitehawk, one point will ensure the Runners -up spot, although we can afford to lose if 3rd place Bromley don't make up 8 goals,Then it's into the playoffs.

Bentaleb has been sent off in our U21's game against Reading.

2-0 spurs at half time. Goals from Bentaleb (pen - 9 mins) and Lamieras (pen - 36 mins)

Sutton Drew 3-3 to secure Runners-up spot ,they now play Dover in the play-off semi-finals away Wednesday and home on the 3rd May,hope to keep up our good record at the crabble,Dovers ground, win that and we get home advantage against the other play-off winners,in the final game

I was genuinely surprised to hear some common sense out of Alan Shearer on MOTD2 last night: he said Marshall or Lloris should've been in the PFA team of the year instead of Cech.

I like Shearer, he talks a lot of sense, IMO. Except, of course, when talking about his mate, Sherwood. Then he gets very prickly and defensive.

Robbo has been added to the Guest XI for Ledders' testimonial, alongside Teddy Sheringham, Darren Anderton and David Ginola.

I am not sure why the club is drip feeding the fans with info on who is playing in Ledley's game and as Paul Robinson was the first ex-player to be signed up, I don't quite see why it's taken this long to be made public. Maybe it's a new way of selling more tickets. Whatever, it will be good to see Robbo back at the Lane once more.

Will be good to see Robbo back,he was my Favorite Keeper since Pat,to play for us

To be fair, we've had some incredibly shonky keepers since then. Ian Walker immediately springs to mind...

It's a simple and, as been proven many times over the years, effective promotional tactic to generate anticipation. Certainly more effective than just chucking up a press release with the names of every player.

I'm just dreaming.......wouldn't it be nice to see Greavesie turn out, score a 10 minute hat trick just to show Messi how it's done.......

It'd be embarrassing if Peter Crouch scored a ten minute hat trick, though.

Oh, I don't know, I enjoyed this Peter Crouch perfect hat-trick quite a bit:

Adebayor and Gallas were Arsenal's biggest goal threats and Crouch got three. It's all Spurs! <laugh>

RIP Nigel Stepney (F1 spygate mechanic), Run over by a lorry on the M20 about a mile from my house in the early hours of the morning. Looks like he got out of his vehicle after breaking down.

Oh dear, what happened today. 0-3.

just did'nt turn up,very disappointed, they only had Ten men as well!,their captain was sent off in the 2nd minute, doing what Kaboul done.Dover wanted it more,we were to slow getting the ball forward so they had time to pack the defence, and our passing was awful, and as we pushed forward they exploited the gaps at the back, what with Spammers beating us as well,a disappointing Saturday for me
