I wouldnt be too worried, you have to take into account Ben Arfa's injury. No denying he is a superb player but we all know about player's metality after such a serious injury so you would think it could be some time before he regains full confidence and playing ability. It happend with our Carlos Edwards and more recently Edwardo from Arsenal.

Not seen anything from that Marveux mind so could not comment but I doubt that will be your team to play us as I think you will have another striker upfront with Ba. Tiote is also a class act and that other guy alongside him gets rave reviews so he could be a good aquisition if you beat off Arsenal.

It worries me too, and I'm a Newcastle supporter. We should have £25-30million to spend, but the only players there which cost any money are Cabaye for £5mill and Matuidi for around £12mill (or so I've heard). The other two are freebies. I've excluded M'Bengue because we'd use Enrique's fee to buy him, so it pays for itself.

Just having that after the whole window would be a bit dire. The quality of the first team wouldn't be that great, and the squad/subs bench would be almost as weak as it was during 09/10.

Chappaz,

As the French league is notoriously slow, not particularly physical, and low scoring (the lowest of the respected leagues by a distance), surely overloading a mid-table English team, that the bottom half sides will have a go at, is a gamble?

I've maintained from the off you are signing good players, but if it was us, the mix wouldn't sit well at all.

There's a lack of pace in that side as well, overall, and a really noticeable lack of muscle (Tiote and Taylor excused)

Perhaps, he does like to have a bit of crack with the fans that boo him. He was doing it loads against Liverpool when we lost 3 - 0. He kept putting the ball just outside the line on corners and it was driving their fans mental <laugh>.

Remember watching that, at the Kop end to i think...

Still like him to play for us, and **** it, he can live in Newcastle, i don't care

Cheers MrR <ok>

Only "amused" the miserable mod.

But at least he has an excuse, he is suffering badly with home sickness. :p

It's a bit **** today actually, it's only 26 and a wee bit cloudy, and i wanna go for a swim but the groundsman's here mowing the lawn and it's loud...

See the challenges i have to face over here? Terrible..
