The fact that we released him should tell you all you need to know.

Matt is a very nice bloke and is very fondly thought of in these parts(having been a long term No.2), but he doesn't command his area and his distribution is appalling(his goal kicks rarely stay on the pitch).

Last rumour I heard was that Pompey were in for him.

I remember when he had three or four good games in the Premiership and people were saying he should be in the England squad. <doh>
 
I think that shay given would be a quality replacement as long as his wages arnt too high

I think you're confusing him with Myhill?

Duke didn't have 3 or 4 good games in the Premier League(or any other league for that matter), he played in half our games last season, as we started skint and Mannone kept getting injured, but that was half of his total games for us, prior to that he hadn't even managed 3 or 4 games a season, never mind good games.
 
Player of the season for Palace 3/4 times in a row now, watched him play several times with his shot stopping being up there with Kasper, Were way bigger than Palace and their financial hoo har wld probably allow us to bring him in quite cheaply, after all Schemichal is a brilliant keeper has has apparently gone for fanta bottles. Id say Westwood is favourite, as he's free. I wldnt mind him

Would have been early 2009, a quick google tells me he did well against West Ham and Fulham, I guess that was just my Hull mate (well, acquaintance) getting ahead of himself. This was the time David James and Rob Green were still in the England squad.

Que, I think Speroni would be a good one. Still got four or five years in him yet.
 
Heard the swans are in for a new keeper. Will De Vries want first team football? He had twice the number of clean sheets last season.

He won MotM in the West Ham game, but really only because he saved a penalty, we still lost 2-0(in fact that was a grim night all round, Parker knobled Bullard for the second time and on his début, putting him out for almost an entire season)

Speroni would probably cost you more than you got for Kasper, Fulham failed with a bid for him last season.
 
Just throwing this name out there but I would love to see us make a bid for Watfords keeper Scott Loach. Probably just in my dreams since Papa Bates wont spend a dime on any quality players
 
Have you any idea how pissed off I would be if we paid £1.5 mil for Kasper and you signed Westwood on a free <yikes>
