Given the relative lack of pace and width in the AM side, this is a good system, just not sure we will experiment in such a big game. This it'll be either Luiz at right back or cole at left back.
You only bottle it when you're in with a good chance with the finishing line in sight, so a team like Everton did not bottle it. No doubt about it though, we have most certainly bottled it, ditto Arsenal, and as for City - that's TBD.
They didn't win the FA Cup or League Cup whilst teams like Wigan did so they did bottle it surely. Or where Wigan in with a chance and Everton weren't
Athletico are a very strong side, and hard to break down, the sort of team we struggle against. I was quite pessimistic until you posted, but you are the Matth (from 2011/12) of 2013/14: all your predictions have been wrong and resulted in the opposite result. So I am hoping you reverse-jinx us again. This King S prediction was a classic: "I can see PSG winning this one, I just feel they are a stronger side man for man, and with Ibra out will be perfectly set up to counter attack, with the lightning quick Lucas likely to replace him and play on the right, with Cavani moving to the middle. Defenders like Terry and Ivanovic are effective in a park the bus system, with a deep defensive line, like Chelsea normally play, but when you have to force the game and push up the field, PSG will expose the space in behind, and I can see this turning into a dominant aggregate victory for PSG." Not only did you get the scoreline wrong, you got the tactics wrong, how the game played out completely wrong too
I personally think over 2 legs you're one of the hardest clubs to beat in world football Now I feel sick.
I also predicted that PSG would win the home leg by 2 clear goals. So I got 1 wrong and 1 right, and now I'm all of a sudden a reverse jinx. I'm going for atleast a 2-0 home win tonight, possibly a 3-0. You guys won't score out there
As long as we get a goal over there, maybe scraping a draw in the process we have every chance of making it to the final. Please no repeats of Paris, 1st leg is all about putting yourself in a good position to push off from in the next tie and if we can do that tonight, there's no reason we cant beat these lot at home
If that happens - I have no doubt you'll get the right result at home. Sometimes playing the away leg first is an advantage. Especially for a team like Chelsea who are (in general) very impressive at seeing games out on home soil.
Think you will make the final and then who knows. From s neutral perspective. I think the semis are all wrong. Would have prefferred to see bayern vs real
For the first time this season, King Matth the II could be right. Would settle for 2-1 loss Law of averages says you should be right once, despite your dreadful understanding of the game
If Luiz plays at right-back, and it goes wrong it will all be down to Jose. Hopefully another masterstroke. Would take 1-1 right now, but maybe 2-2 would be even better.
