We've got similar players who are far better. We just haven't had a manager who can get the best out of them. Man Utd finished above you and pretty much everyone else for years with players like Brown and O'Shea. That didn't make them better than someone like Carragher, only better managed.
It helps having the likes of Scholes, Keane, Giggs, Beckham, Ronaldo, Rooney, Yorke Cole, Sheringham etc in front of them. This is the problem now for the Utd defence; nobody to keep the ball in front of the defence and force the opposition back. When defenders have to defend under pressure, they are more likely to make mistakes. Carragher looked a better player under Benitez when the opposition were fearful of Gerrard playing Torres in behind their defence. He didn't have to defend as much.
"One good season, and you start bragging!" If only someone had the foresight to make an article specifically for his kind ...
Of course you do. If only we had Bentaleb, Adebayor, Sigurdsson, loldado, Chadli, Lennon and co, we might be in the champions league spots.
Couple of seasons finishing above us and we're suddenly rivals and you're a 'big club'. It's now business as usual
And if we'd hired Rodgers instead of the Portugese numpty, we might be in the champions league spots...next argument?
Guys, guys please. Thing about this thread is its just a wind up. A hook, the trap. Tottenham and Liverpool aren't rivals, they might be going for the same top 4 but if that's the case then everyone is a rival.
How dare you! You're implying that this is nothing more than a wum thread, which is an insult to the integrity of all those who have participated in it. Next, you'll be trying to convince us all that you Mousers don't wear shell-suits, nick hubcaps, and dance the night away to Cilla and Sonia records.
pffft 4 above average seasons in an otherwise mediocre existence, punching way above your weight and you thought you were juggernaut. Know your ****ing place!
Let's see if the all the wheels are still on your juggernaut next season, before you start bragging, shall we?...
Let's all just be friends and get behind Wigan. No FA cup and an EL place will be the end of Wenger and Arsenal will be out in the wilderness for a bit too
