One pundit made the comment that Goofy is only playing as well as he is because he's "out to prove everyone wrong" after his appalling behaviour of the previous season. The pundit referred to it as Goofy's "revenge" season, and he questioned whether or not he'd be able to reproduce it ever again. I think the pundit has a valid point.

I don't think that he broke any rules. He pointed out mistakes, but he did so fairly evenly and didn't suggest any bias.
Managers generally get into trouble when they claim dishonesty or uneven calls from officials, which I don't think he did, from memory.
You can say that a referee was poor, but you can't call him a cheat.

What I didn't like is that Carragher tried to deflect the blame to the 'keeper again. He got the ball in time and cleanly, if it was a defender sliding in we'd all be calling it a great tackle but Carragher just focused on the argument that the 'keeper didn't need to come out. He didn't need to but it was a pretty routine stop by him, he was always getting to the ball even though he didn't get as good contact on it as you'd expect.
No surprise to see Neville refusing to blame the referee for believing Suarez either. He's got a pile of Premier League titles that he's won with the help of referees allowing his team to make the decisions.

These decisions are really worrying though, either he's taking Suarez's word for it that it's a penalty or he's guessing about an incident he hasn't seen. Neville absolutely despises us, he won't be able to keep the unbiased facade up for long. The longer United wallow in the wilderness, and it's gonna be for some time, the more his hatred will grow and seethe through his mask of impartiality
Thats quite laughable, he could have shown numerous examples of intimidation of referees, by most teams, including Liverpool. Yet here he highlights a player (surprise, surprise, Suarez) who has the audacity to make a claim of a penalty (never seen that done by anyone, in any game) who with that solitary action, in a split second moment, intimidates the poor defenceless referee to give a decision.
Neville slowed down the action yet it still was over within seconds, is that really how week our Refs are? Interestingly he doesn't (at least in this chosen clip) care to mention the Carroll goal were our own players were prity forceful to both the ref and the linesman (far more intimidating than a solitary appeal in the eyeline of the ref) where he was so intimidated he ruled against his own colleague in the other teams favour.

It's no coincidence that they've also had amongst the most talented and expensive squads we've had in recent years. If you take out Redknapp's first season when he inherited a team bottom of the league then I'm sure his stats are up there with them too. It's also hard to compare the squad Jol had to this one, back then we had players like Stalteri and Rasiak and worked with a wage budget that was half the teams above us.
