The rumour is that DJ Campbell is bound for Sunderland, subject to a medical and personal terms being agreed but Blackpool and Sunderland have reached an agreement over the player's transfer. Heard from the same guy that David Vaughan has all but wrapped up his deal with West Brom, Sunderland were not prepared to offer the players £25,000/pw wage demands.

Thats funny because the grapevine has also been saying that DJ is Stoke bound, and we have bid for Cameron Jerome.

    Jerome simply cannot finish.

Apart from that, he's a handful, but a striker who can't finish is like a Ferrari with no ****ing engine.

I fancy us to get one of Gardner and Johnson, maybe even both, but i reckon Dann is Liverpool bound, purely as he's a fan.

Jerome is a big no from me.

Id take one of Campbell or Jerome, for no more than 3million, as backup for one more top drawer striker (Id hope!) That could be incoming.

IF we've got Dong and N'Gog coming in, I'd hope we don't sign either of Jerome or Campbell.

This is purely because I really liked what we saw from Frazier, and if we had:

    Gyan - Marquee striker - N'Gog - Dong

Then I wouldn't want another forward blocking the development of Frazier and (to a lesser extent) Noble, on their route to the first team.

A quality partner for Gyan is imperative (none of N'Gog, Dong, DJ Campbell or Jerome are acceptable). As our 3rd and 4th, I'd take Dong, purely as he fills a gap when Frazier is injured but then wouldn't mind a bit of time as 5th choice when Frazier is back. Then I'd also take one of DJ Campbell or N'Gog, Jerome is ****e in my books, worse than N'Gog.

Overall given the choice, I'd have Gyan/Wickham/N'Gog/Dong/Frazier Campbell. Gives Frazier time to get properly fit and match sharp in the reserves.

Noble I'd let out on loan to the Championship a la Hendo and Colback. But with a clause for recall if we need him!

Please God, no! Pacey, strong lad, but couldn't score in a brothel. I've got a cousin that lives in Brum and is a season ticket holder at Birmingham City. I was winding her up the other week about us nicking Larsson. Her response was....

"Please take Jerome with Larsson, we'll pay you to take Jerome"

So if Birmingham fans think he's ****, why the hell are we looking to sign him?

We could have trouble naming our team what with N'Gog and N'Zog
We don't want a forward line of Ding and Dong

Not being funny lads but I hope for your sake you're aiming higher than Campbell and Jerome. Campbell would be decent back up I suppose, god only know how much we both need depth up front at the moment but Jerome would be a travesty. He's garbage, I'd rather have Carlton Cole.
