True. It would be a very brave move to leave Snoddy out in favour of some attacking pace (maybe Pilks, or even Olsson).
Unless Snodders was one of the ones uncomfortable with Hughton being sacked (possible, but for some inexplicable reason I think this is unlikely), I would be very surprised if he is left out. He is just too effective to drop. And he rarely has two ineffective games in a row. I can see this: Ruddy Martin Yobo R Bennett Olsson Snodgrass Tettey Howson Murphy RvW Pilks (or more likely Redmond for Murphy, unless Redmond's unhappy about the situation).
Hooper for RvW for me. Redmond should take his share of the blame for the demise of CH as he under-performed. If he is up for it, then I would give him the first half but let Murphy have a run after an hour.
If Snodgrass plays, I hope he is instructed to stay on the wing more - he was forever drifting into the middle of the pitch from about the half-way line on Saturday, so that Martin had no one to pass to!!!!
Why would you want anyone to just stay in a set position? Thats the whole point in getting rid of him.
Sorry, I didn't mean just to stay in a set position, but at least be on the wing so that the full back or whoever is on the ball has someone ahead to pass to.
No, why what's he been up to? I just get the feeling he is one of those that Hootun didn't fancy, and also get the feeling that Neeyul will.
Sorry I had come to the same conclusion and read your post as indicating that something had happened between them! Fitting evidence to my conclusion... I definitely get that feeling too though.
why not the diamond? It could work. Ruddy Martin Turner Yobo Olsson Tettey Snodgrass Redmond Howson RvW Hooper
Just read on another thread about Adams possibly choosing players he knows from the youth set up could this mean we see Josh given a start: Ruddy Martin Turner Yobo Olsson Tettey Howson Redmond Snodgrass Murphy RvW Possibly Carlton Morris on the bench instead of Elmander or Becchio? He's the only one that i can see that could possibly cope with the physicality of the PL
It is going to be VERY interesting to see the starting 11 and the subs and I will certainly b listening to Radio Norfolk around 2pm. I wouldn't mind seeing a couple of the youth team players on the bench.
Interesting also that Adams made that comment about 'following instructions'. Suggests some players hadn't been. My personal guess is Snodgrass. Pure speculation on my part, I concede that. What does seem more than speculation is the idea that he slows the game down because of his lack of speed and that far too many of our attacks go through him. I can see that he works hard and he's more than ready to take responsibility - and that's great - but for a long time I've felt that he needs a strong-willed manager who will put him in his place from time to time. OK, shoot me down.
Ruddy Martin Yobo Turner Olsson Tettey Howson Redmond Snodgrass/Hoolahan Pilks RvW Redmond on the right is forced to create, and the pace will stretch Fulham. Torn over who to play in the central role. On the one hand Snodgrass is better defensively, and we'd retain the dead ball threat. But Hoolahan is more natural in that role, and Pilks is hardly poor from set pieces. RvW up front because his movement will help, and perhaps the new manager can give him some much needed confidence. If I remember correctly, Fulham have two huge CB's, so some height may be useful, so long as we try to use him more for his movement though! The comments about youth are interesting, but I'm struggling to think who else could come in except Josh Murphy. McGeehan's impressed me in the past, but I can't see Howson or Tettey getting dropped!
