I know, but that's why putting what we actually signed on is relevent. It changes the conversation from us saying you need to make more signings than we did to saying that you need to make the same kind of number. Livermore is our only loanee, you definitely wouldn't count Henderson, but you would probably want the likes of Figueroa to be included in the list of our signings.
This is pretty much spot on and an accurate assessment of Leicester fans. Obviously some are getting carried away and others are saying "we're not good enough". Fact is we'll see. I think we'll be just fine though, with the model we have, the finances we have, the staff we have, the owners we have and most importantly, the players we have...we'll probably have to try to **** it up as much as Cardiff. I think we can survive and thrive.
So has Eldin Jakupovic, who you so highly rate, it doesn't really mean much does it? In fact, he is a bit of a cult hero at FC Thun...
From what i've seen, i'd probably say Schmiechel is marginally better than McGregor. Both ****ing brilliant keepers but McGregor's temprement can be his downfall sometimes. Other than that, only Knockaert, Drinkwater and maybe that Mahrez would be in contention for a starting place and that'd be far from guarenteed.
The difference between Anderlecht and FC Thun is like the difference between Man City and Leicester. Good for their level but they're worlds apart.
Wrong Zola - there only is one. Loved "Germinal", especially the bit where the girl ****s in the open mouth of the sleeping soldier. "L'assamoire" isn't bad either but I suppose his best bit of work was supporting Captain Dreyfus. Crap art critic though as Alfred Sisley's work is awesome.
No, obviously Anderlecht are better, but my point was that Wasilewski hasn't played 100 odd Champions League games for Anderlecht, it's mostly league games and I highly doubt the rigours of the Belgian Pro League are the same level as the Premier League over here. When I first saw Jak play, I couldn't work out how he wasn't in the team ahead of Amos. Sure enough, he played and did well. He cocked up in one game and then apparently that was it. You could see he'd played at a higher level though, I just haven't seen that in Marcin. I'm happily proven wrong, but I just think Nige's first port of call will be to sign a CB.
Both good keepers but McGregor is much better IMO and has far more experience which is even more important for a keeper
I'd say Schmeichel is a better shot stopper, which is saying something, and also his distribution is slightly better. McGregor is more solid on crosses/corners etc though.
Then I can only assume that the games you've seen him play have been around December when we had a rough patch with him at RB. It will be, no doubt. No way will we go into the season with 3 centre backs, one being 21 years old, the other two being 30+.
That's quite fair, but how many times has McGregor's shot stopping cost us points this season? It has been more than good enough. His decision making on crosses and set pieces has been excellent and has helped us out a lot. I would rather have a better all round keeper than a great shot stopper that is not as good at other aspects.
I can think of a number of freekicks where he's let you down, both through shot stopping and positioning.
