Nice banner but, and not trying to piss on your parade here.
1: It has to be a min of 1800 pixels, but you cant please every res, some will miss the sides of the picture, others will see it all but with a blank space at either side, mick wont even think about putting it on if its any less than 1800.
2: You only have a tiny little window, if I can remember how to do it (its been 2 years+) I will show what it looks like on the forum, its Firefox, web developer tools, but from there I seriously can't remember, but a lot of your picture will be behind the white foreground and welcome to Sunderland will be covered by the new posts private messages white bar at the top, this is why its a pain in the arse to design a banner for here, as the window is that small.
hope you take this as constructive criticism.

I am on 1920*1200 so it does look small, but the actual depth will be the same for all, hope you can see what I mean now (and when did imgshack go paid sub only, robbing gits.)

What does the dimensions have to be? Can have a crack at something but doubt it would be much cop as I don't have photo shop.
If I could get the pixel dimensions needed I'll whip one up for tomorrow.
Need dimensions and an email address to send it to as the forum automatic resizes it if I send it on here.
I want to start trying some ideas but I need the Dimensions in pixels. No dimensions, no new banner. Can someone(a mod) find out for me please? If it needs to be adjusted to fit then I'd rather it be shrunk than stretched. Ta
Can you find out? It's kind of important as this is going to take hours and if it's too small it's ****ed.

REALLY!?! FFS!
Cheers Steve, I'm done. Been trying and trying to get that information. Put in hours. **** it someone else can do it.
Yeah Imageshack are ****ers, I use this now http://postimg.org/![]()
Sorry, I could have told you if I had not been awol for about a year, a lot just "expected" me to do a new one, but never really tried themselves (even though i am a complete noob at it and colour blind which doesn't bloody help).
If you have packed in (I do not want to steal your thunder) I will give it a go this weekend sometime, as at least someone took it upon themselves to TRY!!! (yes it did piss me off at the time lol)
I'll give it another blast. Not about thunder fella, it's about getting a new banner up that's the best possible (cough, have you seen the mags new banner cough cough) and up to date. You fancy doing a couple and I'll do a couple(or just one each) and we'll let the masses decide with a vote?Dont give up mate
Yeah but it tends to take me bloody ages, the one we have now i struck lucky, 2 really high res images overlapping and it just sort of worked (to me). I will get stuck in this weekend like I said.

I use Photoshop CS6 64 bit from the Adobe CS6 master collection.
How to do this is
Firefox download web developer, click the FF icon top left of browser, web developer, style editor, opens box at bottom, bottom option Inline Styles, click that and it should have 1 line for the banner, just paste your image url over it and it will show in your browser, then print screen it if you want to show it on here.
and i doubt you will get one either, if the picture was not taken in hi res, then you wont get high res.
pixels in a picture, older ones will be the same as an old TV 480*### at best.
Hi res is 580*### to 16,000*####
but minimum should be above 1080 really, and preferably for a picture a lot higher than that, the ones i used for the background were in the 3000*#### mark.
Pictures are slightly different to TV but its the same basic premise.
