Yuo should look on the bright-side, at least you have something to play for still, lose the Fulham game and your season will go the full 38.
 
As long as pilks is given the chance to get in the box as often as possible i don't mind, he's the best goal 'poacher' at the club (in my opinion)

Interesting cos Id go for the exact opposite, play Redmond on the winger with Snodgrass playing off the striker this means that Snodgrass' lack of pace isn't a significant problem and he's actually quite good in the middle so long as he's played forwards. Personally I think we need to try no playing inverted wingers for a bit generally its slows our attack and prevents us getting in behind the opposition's defence.

I think Snodgrass is better defensively, I don't view Redmond as a forward just an advanced winger, his job is to get to the byline and pull the ball back for Pilkington, Howson or Hooper.

I want Redmond getting the ball so he has nobody to beat.
 
Given our shocking run of away performances I reckon something (someone) has to give. Our main problems away have been lack of goals and the very slow build up (painfully so).

The thing that can change that is more speed of intent, movement and passing. For those reasons poor old Snodders gets the chop for me. He simply hasn't supplied anywhere near enough for our strikers to get any kind of advantage - he's too predictable and gives the opposition defenders too much time to take up optimum positions (however talented he is in other ways).

So for me the big decision for NA is to play Redmond out right instead. Speed of thought comes through Hoolahoops (roaming from the middle). Speed of movement in combination and support Tettey.

The other midfielder I'd play is Johnson to break it up - with Pilks wide left to give more balance and threat on the counter.

RVW up front because his movement is the best of our forwards.

This front six is the most likely to get goals for me - if we don't get goals we don't win - and the defence are too brittle right now to try and play it tight away from Carrow Rd.

I wouldn't mess with the back four much - if fit I'd play the same as last week.

We have to be brave. Clearly NA wasn't appointed to play it safe.
 
We obviously all have very different ideas about the team for Saturday. So I think what is vital is that, whatever the eventual line-up, we all accept it and support it and get behind it 100%.

True - it's pretty interesting to see what kind of set up people like! Gives you a clue about the sort of football they like and how they think it can be achieved more than at any other time because we are all genuinely clueless as to what Adams will go for!


One thing in particular interested me: Adams reportedly told the team (according to Rusty) that if you're not on board, you'll be out of the team. No surprise that there are some in the dressing room unhappy. I'm going to guess Bassong. Is he on twitter? I doubt he'd respond but it would be interesting to coax something out of him there!
 
I think this thread shows how we can't guess what the set up will look like and if we can't there's no chance that penfold will be able to second guess us. Which will be an advantage if I was setting up against us before I'd be looking to utilise pace against us, not to let our winger cut back inside and be patient on the ball as we will defend rigidly with 2 banks of 4 men but try things as we won't be effective at counter attacking quickly. I would have instructed them to get in our faces the minute they lose the ball and there's a good chance they could win it back quickly in good positions. Now I literally have no clue.
 
Anyone think Adams may set things up as he did with the youth team (i.e. a 4-3-3)?

aren't a lot of the fulham players over 30, pace would be an asset, rather than attacking slowly as we have done this season. this would fit with adam's U18 philosphy.
on the flip side, snoddy is one of our best players who doesn't have much pace.
clearly we won't have a clue until 2:15pm on saturday!
 
After the shambles against WBA, maybe he should just play the youth side!
