We sacked our clown of a manager - Richie Barker - who was leading us towards certain relegation from the Football League, and replaced him with our Academy Manager Andy Awford, who immediately introduced a winning mentality to the players.

Anything is worth a try for Norwich. Shame about Chris Hughton though, nice honest bloke.

Maybe Delia didn't like nice honest guys and Adams is more her sort. She might like it rough.

Maybe even Pards would fill the bill.

F*** Norwich, and f*** all the fans who booed him at the earliest opportunity. Hope they get relegated <ok>

Come on you Mackem bastards, stay up at their expense <ok>

Our board had no option but to sack him. He had lost the players and fans. We must get something away at Fulham Saturday because after that we have the run in from hell. Liverpool, Chelsea,Man U and Arsenal. Hughton has lost 6 on the bounce away from home with some of the worst displays and tactics I have ever seen. We wouldn't have got another point under him.

Good to know there is a club even stupider than ours.

Sadly, this will probably keep the Mackems up.

No way Frank, the game next week between Fulham and Norwich will bring more valuable points at the bottom. Check out the remaining games Fulham have to play. After Norwich next week, they've got other winnable games against Hull, Stoke and Palace. Norwich may have a difficult run-in but if Fulham beat them then it's the West London side I fancy to go on reach 36 points (which I predict will ensure survival). I'd prefer Norwich to beat Fulham (and then they'd be on 35) as points on the board at this stage matter most. I still think the mackems have far too much to do and Cardiff also.

Like Hughton after his time here dealing with our current regime with dignity. He has struggled badly there though. Followed a tough act in Lambert and fans never took to him or his fairly old fashioned style of football. Nice bloke though.

Very mean spirited JPF, goes completely against the whole spirit of the glorious Glow.

Wow TJPF that's very unlike you.

I apologise AB, but the majority of their fans absolutely deserve nothing but contempt, particularly the ones on not606. We all pointed out how Chris would approach things, and how he'd try and shape it towards better football after making a solid base, which he did at Newcastle and Birmingham, but they all blindly **** over Paul f***ing Lambert, who the Villa fans wouldn't cry over if he was sacked tomorrow. Tiny little Norwich, who Hughton has kept in the league, yet the yellow turds had completely unrealistic delusions of grandeur... The worst part is, they still think all their players are amazing, must just be the manager who made Olsson accidentally slip on his backside, must be the manager who's made Bassong make loads of errors this year <doh>

Injuries, new players bedding in, minuscule budget in comparison with teams around them, but no, they should be top 10 every year playing sexy swedish football. They can f*** off. Them and whichever crackpot they hire are welcome to each other, the Mackems have to stay up and send them to oblivion.

You cant really blame Norwich, I'm more surprised that its taken them this long to get on with it.

No need to apologise to me TJPF, I'm behind you all the way on this one.

How come? What realistically are they going to achieve?

I hope Chris gets a job that deserves him next. He's proven himself a canny manager in very difficult circumstances, at Newcastle and Birmingham (look at them since!), and his record at Norwich isn't a blemish at all, given the context.

I actually think this will work out well for Chris as when I saw their final game run in yesterday, I thought there was no way they could stay up.

I still think this is the case, but at least it won't be Chris at the helm when it happens, in which case he won't be directly associated as being the manager that took them down.

I'm trying to put a positive spin on it anyway ....

The way the bottom clubs are playing, I could see them getting beaten in every game and still staying up... If they go down, the new guy will probably have no blame attached, because it'll be all Hughton's fault they were in this position...

He'll always get a big hand whenever he returns to St James', that's all that matters now!
