Lidls may post some rather misguided stuff on here Ensil, but I don't think that he's a WUM.
I wouldn't back any calls to ban him.
When 606 was worthwhile, the Spurs board always had input from fans of other teams, even if they disagreed with what was being said.
It's healthy to have an outsider's view of things.

How do you know that Michigan's banned, by the way?

I haven't poured any doubt on the Modric quotes, Lidls.
I felt that it was extremely unlikely to have been a false story.
I'm sure that there would've been a statement issued to that effect by now if they were untrue, too.

The only source that has even hinted at an illegal approach has been Daniel Levy.
The Daily Fail have had a daily story about Modric, but they only reported the £22m bid and subsequent reaction from the player, having thought that he was going to Manchester for the previous week and a half.

I post on other teams board's from time to time and I find it's easy to make a welcome contribution, as long as you treat the relevant fans with respect.
I commented on the Gyan to Spurs rumours on the Sunderland board the other day and was both welcomed and invited to return.

How did you find out about Michigan, by the way?

    Shame. <laugh>

Sad to see one of ours sink down to his level, though.
Ironic to see Pisskie moaning about WUMing, too.

If Modric has said he wants to goi,d ask him this question,Why do you want to go to a team with old players past their best, and will struggle to finish top4 next season, instead of staying with a club that are improving and looking to buy two or so top players to continue to do so,or is it just the Money?

I don't like what I've just read elsewhere. Harry will buy one or two big players just to keep Modric. That is a big mistake. We now have the"I'm a superstar too good for this club " mentality. It means that one player is bigger than the club. So what happens with the big players that we sign? Do they then want big players to stay at the club? "You did it for Modric" they will be saying. It will cause resentment and jealousies. Harry will be accused of favouritism and it will unsettle the team. If Modric has stipulated"Buy or I'm off" then he should go.

I think he was questioning whether the ambitions of the club matched his own?

It's not unfair for him to stipulate that he wants to realise his personal goals with a club looking to go forward.

Shelf,if it's true about buying big names to keep him then he will get conceited. I honestly don't know what to make of it. Hold on,Wagner on the box,"The Ride of the Valkyries" Brilliant piece of music. Back in a minute. Bye.

That's the thing though TMT - 'if'.

To be fair if I was at a club and they showed no ambition and no intention to buy quality I'd probably get cold feet as well.

A lot of fans on various forums are all lambasting Levy for not having more cajunas in the transfer market - so that's fine but not if a player says it? Smacks of double standards to me! Every player wants to play with the best players.

Not defending his alleged comments, mind, just saying it how it is <ok>

Fair enough Shelf but why sign a 6 year contract only to be involved with all this speculation now?

Thats probably due to having no CL football anymore. Which leads back to him seeing spurs as having no ambition.

Who knows what words were exchanged and what carrots were dangled to get him to sign that contract?!

I do keep hearing mutterings of "gentleman's agreement" between Levy & Modric, perhaps qualifying again was part of that deal - we looked pretty good at the point when he signed, prior to our fantastic downfall at the end of the season.

Fair points lads but as I posted it was also his responsibility to ensure CL football and he must take his fair share of the blame for the failure. The fact that we didn't make it cannot just be laid at the feet of the strikers.

    Oh totally agree mate <ok>

I've said all along that any player who wants to leave because we didn't qualify for the CL again needs to at least stay on board for one more season to try and rectify that situation <ok>

    Luka: "I wan't CL football"

Shelf: "Well you are part of the reason we don't have it this season - you owe us to stay and get it back"

Luka: "You are correct oh wise one, I will stay then"

    <ok>

    ;)
