It's nice to know that Astro's still trawling boards that he's banned from, getting upset by what he sees and storing it up, seething about people having opinions! <laugh>
HIAG will take that as a badge of honour, by the way.

As was stated above though, it's more than just scoring goals playing up top for Chelsea. We need a striker who can play with his back to goal and bring in the midfielders hence why Torres has probably struggled more and why our midfield have always scored a lot of goals (Lampard, Oscar, Mata, Hazard etc).

I genuinely don't think putting Sturridge up front in this Chelsea team would make much if any difference. You may think we're all pining for Sturridge cos we don't have a 20 goals a season forward but we're really not. He's a very good premier league player but I don't think he is or will ever be world class (or a top top player if you will ;) ) We need a genuine replacement for Drogba.

I get where you're coming from but if true why are you in for Costa? As far as the last part goes he's already a class player in the right team but I agree that he may not score as many in the Chelsea team due to the style of play.

I'm not massively familiar with Costa, but doesn't he have a reputation for being a grafter and a battler?
He's not a pure goalscorer, from what I've seen of him.

Hes a bruiser. Very little technical ability as he didnt even start playing football until very late.

Doing very well in Spain, but might not succeed in other leagues.....Big powerful forward though, sounds made for Chelsea in the Premier league, But wouldnt expect Lukaku to hand around if you do bring him in..

Drogba at the age of 24 was playing for Guingamp... I don't think Sturridge will ever be Suarez quality or Drogba at his prime perhaps, but he is a natural goalscorer and has a big future and you let him go for £12million, to a rival. So that's why we think that Chelsea fans regret it. But fair enough if you don't

  10. Derrick Psalm: Wins against Manchester City and Chelsea will win it for Liverpool.
(Source: A Mouser t**t writing on the BBC Football page)

    <doh>

Do you see, now, why this thread is needed, more than ever before?

He cannot even do the basic maths! £ity have two games in hand over 'Pool, and are only two points behind, so by losing to 'Pool wouldn't be fatal to £ity's chances of winning the title, since they'd still finish a point ahead of 'Pool, if both teams won all their games in hand.

Jesus! I so want us to beat 'Pool on Sunday, and smash all remnants of any dream that these silly Mousers had of winning the title!

somebody should tell him that a loss to Spurs will lose it for them

  13. But, Rubber, can you not see what a complete twat this Mouser has made of himself?

He hasn't worked out the basic maths of the situation, and doesn't seem to be able to comprehend that, with £ity have two games in hand and only being 2 points behind 'Pool, that losing to 'Pool will still hand them the title?

The bloke is a cretin. Now, you might find that funny, but I never like to laugh at the mentally ill.

HIAG, I admit that - if that's what he said - then the guy can't do his maths. Everyone knows it's City's title to lose

HAIG, be sensible for once in your life. There's no doubt that every Redman knows that the odds of winning the title favour both Chelsea and City. We need to win every match we have left to stand a chance of winning the title and then rely on the others to either/or/or even both lose to us at Anfield or slip up somewhere-else. But whilst the dream is on - then it's on. As our Kop banner say Make Us Dream - and that's what the team are doing.

Leaving the tile aside, win against you on Sunday and a top 4 finish is almost assured. So we have enough motivation even without chasing the title. Whereas some of your supporters want to lose so that you don't finish 5th!

It's because he's an insufferable arsehole.

  17. Agreed.

I know some have expressed that view, but I rather sense that that is nothing more than frustration on their part. I don't doubt for a second that any Yid would want the Spurs to lose any match.

I don't know why you care tbh Hiag.

Most people would concentrate on supporting their own club.
