That was partly for going into admin (for the third time ?) and partly for irregular payments to players or something along those lines. I think Bournemouth got -17 purely for going into admin yet again.

Either of those outcomes would see us relegated the way things are going. Probably even the minimum -10 would finish us off.

But never mind, Haigh said we've no chance of going into admin and he's been right on everything else so far..........:emoticon-0101-sadsm
 
Portsmouth were a fine league club and have been around for years. They had their ups and downs, but through it all there fans are like ours - magnificent. because the FL allowed the club to be sold to money launderers, people traffickers and the Russian mob, to be used for washing cash ..... The FL watched the club almost die and did nothing, so why should they do anything for us. This is all about them trying to be credible for the first time.

This is why Platini hates the FL and FA, because we are the only country in the world that allows foreign ownership (Outright) Platini said that any club owned offshore is open to money laundering and spread betting in Asia. How very true.

If you go into admin i think you will receive minimum -15 which is what you received last time around. you could be looking at -17 or -20 anything less youve had a result <ok>

We received -10 for going into admin last time around.

But there is already a precedent for increasing this for clubs that have gone into admin more than once within a certain time period (Bournemouth and Luton and possibly others).

Don't know exactly what the FL rules are on this. All I know is the rule that states "At the end of the day the Football League can do whatever they bloody well like" so if we do go into admin we could end up with whatever punishment the FL see fit to impose.
 
Our best bet is to take the punishment now and start on an equal footing with clubs in the same div as us next year, whichever one that is. Bring back the 15 points song!

As for bare bones staffing, that explains McDermott on regular ticket office duties.

Probably for the best. To be honest, without Ross, which we soon will be, we are basically a League 1 outfit anyway

Not one word of that surprises me. Management fees likely method to withdraw whatever they did pay. Wonder how many more instalments are still due to bates

management fees ....... read consultancy fees under bates. £20m black hole that moved between Elland Road and 3 offshore banks. Whatabunchoffuckingcrooks.

Lets try and use our heads and think about the realities:

If the club go into administration everyone loses their cash, including GFH, Noodles, Haigh and Cellino

So is it Cellino's best intrest to secure his cash by lending them more, and in return getting a stake in the club that wouldn't mean he's the largest shareholder?

This then opens the door for Farnham/Flowers/pearson to snap up the rest.

Cellino could buy back ER and TA and then charge the club rent, so on paper we have our stuff back?

Doing nothing and playing hard ball means administration

Firstly let me say regards admin, that we need to face the fact that we would deserve upto 20 pts as we are repeat offenders. It would not be fair based on the facts of how Leeds have been run to get away with just 10 pts.

If it happens this time you have to make sure that the Administrators ask more questions over waived debts etc & make sure you finally get someone new in.

Still I imagine GFH have deep pockets to avoid it but simply no wish to use them. The real reason no one truly "fit & proper" wants to buy us is that we have more baggage than Heathrow.

Bates has now openly admitted that he is connected to David Haigh and Andrew Flowers, so can you trust anything about those two?

I really don't understand this part: Haigh is no longer connected to Gfh, surely he gains from Leeds failing and GFH bottling it & selling cheap. So why do Gfh still let him anywhere near the club. Let alone allow him to control it and work with Bates & Harvey's ex PA's?

It appears that GFH got wise and found someone else. Sadly our ex CEO Harvey at the FL dragged it out and blocked it.

To be fair I am starting to wish we had wiped the slate clean and started back in the Conference 10 years ago. I stopped posting on here when I thought I could go back to buying my Season Ticket and watching football instead of this week in and out.
I would have been happy supporting us in any league, just without the greed, money grabbing & politics.

Fat chance of that now. So what can I do....

I have decided that I won't renew the two Season Tickets i pay for, they will receive no money from me for anything Leeds United based again regardless of who takes over. I won't Google Leeds United 3 times a day. I won't waste hours wondering what if & when....

They have made me stop caring about the "beautiful" game with all this ugliness. Whilst away during the long drawn out Bates self fornication era I started to feel that football was nothing more than a business. One trading in failure in our case. After a season back following the team with new owners I can't shake the feeling it is all engineered to fail. I can't stop nagging doubts about integrity, especially watching players/referee's/linesman/managers/owners that seem intent on make bad decision one after another.

I can't fix it but I certainly don't have to pay a grand a year to witness it.

Plus I know I am not alone....

Peacock ... I understand exactly how you feel ... I am so close to telling football as a whole to fcuk off, rather go and get pissed ... the game has become demoralising with everything hingeing on your club being in the Prem ... I think more and more fans are becoming disillusioned at having to pay big money to watch "footballers" dive and roll around each week, not bother trying and be happy to sit on the bench ... look at Bendtner at Arsenal, doesn't give a toss if he plays or not, pisses off to Copenhagen for a piss up when he's meant to be training ... man, in these tough economic times how is it possible that so many ordinary footballers can be earning such vast amounts of money? Sickening .....

Thanks OP, I understand exactly where you are coming from. I was in exactly the same boat under Bates, as well as strapped for cash (still am!) but also have to look after a young'un at weekends who has not really shown the slightest bit of interest in watching football - especially dire, drab, boring, losing football. If we were relegated, we may win more than we lose and that could make the atmosphere better again - that's why I loved Lg1, especially the first season under -15.

But we will come together again undr adversity, I am sure of that. We are a middle-of-the-road Championship club, and we are exactly where I expected us to be. I did not expect the "stability boys" of GFH to completely lie and make us even worse off as a business than Bates, but they seem to have done that very effectively. Time will tell what the outcome of that is.

And I do expect we will be handed a hefty admin deduction that will relegate us - I just want it this season and start with a clean slate. And I hope to hell we have been paying HMRC.
 
Italian entrepreneur Massimo Cellino has formally appealed against Football League's decision to block him from buying a majority stake in Leeds.

The appeal will be heard by an independent QC and is expected to take place within the next two weeks, Football League sources have confirmed to Press Association Sport.

Cellino was disqualified under the league's owners' and directors' test this week after being convicted of a tax offence by an Italian court. The QC in charge of the appeal will be given access to specialist advice on Italian law - something that will be necessary given that Cellino, the owner of Serie A side Cagliari, has claimed that because he is appealing against the court's verdict under Italian law he is treated as innocent until proven guilty.

The appeal will be heard as soon as possible as league chiefs are aware that the very future of Leeds hinges on the outcome. Eleonora Sports, the company headed by Cellino, had agreed to buy a 75 per cent stake in Leeds from Bahrain bank Gulf Finance House Capital in February.

It sounds like the appeal process won't be up to the football league
 
If this independent QC has an ounce of common sense and knows that the only way Leeds United can avoid financial meltdown is by having Cellino as owner, then he may well sanction the takeover. Surely he will see the club would be in better hands than it is now, and he'll definitely see that under Italian law Cellino is still innocent until proven guilty.
There's still hope.
