Well said. He may even just say, if GFH can pass the fit and proper test, let Cellino through without a fight

Don't kid yourself elland. Remember when we appealed against the 15 points and we were given a high court judge and one non football official and one Fa official? On paper you would have thought we would win, but because the FL can dress up there rules to suit the argument the judge sides with the FL always has and always will. This is not independent its a rigged jury.

Imagine if the FL lost ..... Haigh, Cellino etc would sue the FL for lost earnings.

Hope you're right but assuming process takes three weeks. Inquiry in two weeks and maybe a week for a decision, who is going to bankroll the club for next three weeks

I wonder if they will have the right to appeal if it goes against them.

I wonder if they may do the honorable thing and ernsure the judge overturns their decision.

    1. They know GFH have screwed LUFC and we will go into admin if it doesn't go through - not a good outcome for the FL
    2. They know Cellino has no history of taking clubs towards bankruptcy nor withholding PAYE or corporation taxes and would more than likely be good for LUFC and stable for one of their members
    3. The FL were hampered by one of their own rules and this would be one way of getting round it
    4. They can blame outsiders for letting in Cellino - they did their best according to their rules but it was overturned

    Please FL, see some sense

    Dear Don Cellino,

If you can arrange paid holidays in Miami with your daughter Eleonora in my bed you've got yourself a deal

    Yours sincerely

A couple of thoughts. The automatic assumption is that the football league did their homework thoroughly and the appeal will fail. Certainly there's good reason to assume that.

However, if they want to be seen to be applying their rules they could have erred on the side of caution. If cellino went through on appeal, it's out of their hands, no mud on them.

I'm no expert on Italian law. From the Knox trial though we've all heard the concept that its a three stage process.

The football league took advice from an Italian law specialist, so they should have got it right... But they're not the crown prosecution service, they're a kangaroo court.

In truth whether cellino has any chance will depend on what the qc is asked to deliberate on... Whether it's that the football league acted within their rights, whether it's simply if cellino is technically guilty of dishonesty under Italian law, or whether he/she is reviewing the whole case. Anyone know?

We don't know this is the only way to stop financial meltdown, everyone involved with the club has said it won't happen. GFH will lose too much money if it happens and will do anything to stop it from happening, I believe they have the money but don't want to put anymore into Leeds United unless they absolutely have to, these rumours were started by people who claimed to be itk not any worthwhile source. BM shouldn't have implied anything imo.

I still struggle to believe Cellino is the best out there available and don't see any reason to blindly support this guy with such a bad track record. If he does takeover I will give him a chance, I will only judge him on his activites at Leeds like all previous owners but until then I'm not hopeful of him.
