A few thoughts from the ever-excellent Things We Think We Think...
1. Another week, another series of PR disasters for the club. What part of “no” are they struggling to understand? The fans don’t want this, the wider football community doesn’t want it, and the FA don’t want it. Stop embarrassing yourselves, start listening and just drop it, yeah?
2. The ballot is painful to behold. It’s a leading question so clunkingly unsubtle that any results gleaned from it are of deeply questionable value. Quite who the Allams are trying to impress here is uncertain, but they are certain to fail. Personalising this issue suggests a highly insecure attitude among our owners, who seem wholly incapable of understanding that most people support them but hate the name change.
3. However, because of the way the ballot is worded, and because it’s so flawed as to offer little serious insight, vote No with a clear conscience. It has been fascinating to note that many who have said they were indifferent to a name change before are now saying they’ll vote no because they see the implied threat as blackmail.
4. Perhaps our owners think a resounding Yes vote would be grounds for an appeal, but the FA’s remit as guardians of the game gives them absolute discretion, therefore there are no grounds for appeal. Today marks the deadline for a second submission on the matter (whereas the results of the ballot will not be known until the weekend), so the club will have been given two bites at the cherry, do they really think they can force a third? The follow up submission is effectively an appeal against the recommendation, and since the ballot result cannot form part of that submission, the ballot is now meaningless as far as getting the name changed is concerned. Does that mean your voting is pointless? Well, consider that some fans (mostly those who ring Radio Humberside and don’t actually attend games) have suggested Hull City Tigers as a compromise, but that would mean another fresh submission to be decided next season for the following season. A No majority effectively kills dead any fresh submission idea and ends this tawdry affair once and for all.

Apparently, there is an independent company coming in to check the votes against the season ticket holder database and then count them. The ballot boxes are to remain locked until they're handed over to them, but most of them are arriving by email and can be seen by whoever prints them out.
The club asked the FA to oversee it, but they wouldn't have anything to do with it.

OLM. It does say that nothing on the form can be saved, tried doing that to send as an attachment, a blank form only is saved so cannot be sent as an attachment.

Ah, I see what you mean, I just tried to save it and it didn't indeed just save the blank form. What a bloody farce.
Are we all missing summat here? The vote serves no purpose whatsoever. The FA are deciding what will happen with the proposed name change, and this ballot will have no bearing on the matter.
Voting or not voting will make no odds; Allam will make up his own mind on whether or not he walks. Having said that, I will be voting for option 2, and if he decides to go, he goes. Thanks for the money, now **** off you dim git.
It just goes to show that being a successful businessman only proves one thing; that you're good at making money. It doesn't necessarily mean you're especially clever or perceptive. The Allams obviously think they're shoving us into some kind of a corner here but I'm afraid the last few months have proved that your average football fan is way smarter than the lot of 'em.

It just goes to show that being a successful businessman only proves one thing; that you're good at making money. It doesn't necessarily mean you're especially clever or perceptive. The Allams obviously think they're shoving us into some kind of a corner here but I'm afraid the last few months have proved that your average football fan is way smarter than the lot of 'em.
This ballot should not be disregarded, AA's hope is that he can get a majority to either vote Yes, vote not bothered, or not vote at all, so he can continue to claim that those against are in the minority. There is nothing to stop him applying again and keeping this nonsense going for another year, so it's important that anyone who cares does use their vote.
Oh don't worry, I'm voting. It's just that I believe it's a useless vote from AA's perspective. For all their faults, the FA are obviously with us on this, and they too will see right through his silly little games. He's gradually making everyone think he's a moron.
This really is a farce, it seems that it depends on what pdf reader you use, but on some it doesn't save or send your information, it just sends a blank form. Ash has now confirmed that he has received some blank forms by email. They really should have got a proper polling company in to do this, though none would accept the questions posed.
Screenshot the form then fill it in on paint, attach the image in the email and return. Hey presto, jobs a good'un.

The supporters’ vote on changing the name from Hull City to Hull Tigers makes it impossible to oppose the switch, without also standing against owner Assem Allam.
Yes to Hull Tigers, no to Hull Tigers. The choices were simple enough.
Instead, to support the move, fans must tick an option that reads: ‘Yes to Hull Tigers with the Allam family continuing to lead the club.’ By implication, no to Hull Tigers is therefore also no to Allam ownership, although the family are not brave enough to overtly link the two. They prefer veiled threats and brinkmanship.
If they wanted to play fair, they could have made the issue black or white. None of this, ‘Yes to Hull Tigers and we won’t shoot this puppy’. Yet in any fair vote, they lose. And they know it.

Blank forms? Don't you mean votes not to oppose the name change. I'm sure they will be counted as such ...
Strange system for corporate members.
Whoever's name the seats are in, gets a vote for each of those seats, so if you own a box, you get twelve votes.
I now get two votes and junior doesn't get one.
It's no wonder there's no polling organisation involved, they'd run a mile from this one.

It depends what you open your pdf's in, apparently it works in Adobe Acrobat, but not Adobe Reader.
