I'm not sure this is a good idea. It will only antagonise the Old man further. We know his decision making is erratic. Kicking someone when they're down - sorry not my style.
Next weeks hdm is a bit late though isn't it? I bet most people who give a **** will have posted their vote by 3pm tomorrow afternoon. You should have built up that CTWD cash pile and offered either a free gift or a bit of coin to everyone who voted no witnessed by a member of the CTWD committee. That would have got a big result.
Why now? Why not? If Allam's so confident he & his minions won't give a ****. It's another excellent piece by CTWD. He could of done this 6 months ago. Everybody will make their own minds up (whether that matters when the votes are counted, 1 - 2 miss a few, 3 - 4 miss some more, is another matter) but to do so it's also fair to assume that people are in receipt of accurate information, something the Allams appear afraid to provide.
How can you vote for a name change which 'might' bring some extra revenue in from the 'Far East' Where's the information there? Its speculation, hope, guess work, fingers crossed, back of a cig packet stuff. We are talking about wiping away 110 years of history and tradition on a whim.
We're making sure there's absolutely no potential grounds for a legal challenge, as despite having his application rejected, he's carrying on regardless.
Isn't it apparent (even to the Assem-lickers) that CTWD have a mastery of PR skills that is sadly lacking in the case of City's owners?
Despite the fact that we expect the FA and any court to completely ignore such a bent vote, we still need to make certain and Ehab took a page to make his case, I think it's perfectly reasonable that we should do the same.
Could have done with this printed and handed out tomorrow! And held up @ 19.04 then everyone would have a good idea which way this will all go.
We discussed leaflets, but we weren't 100% sure what the question would be and by the time we were, it was too late to get them printed. We also didn't think it was a good idea to be leafleting on a contentious issue immediately before an important game.
I don't see what difference it can make, same as Allams silly outbursts. It's not going to make the crowd sit in silence, likely the opposite, and the players won't give a monkeys (am I allowed to say that?). The only thing I could see making a difference is of Allam announced plans for sale/departure just before a game, but even ten I doubt it would make a jot of difference, the players won't stop playing and Steve Bruce surely won't let tem lose focus either. So really, I don't see why anyone's up in arms about this ****e cracking off just before games, if anything it's a good thing as its a proven spark to ignite a loud and vocular atmosphere.
