#bbcsalford are like a hardcore fan, backing Man Utd for the title/CL win/top 4 all the way, up until the Olympiakos performance when their hearts were broken and now they just scream in #despair about how bad things are.

On MOTD last night all Man Utd fan Chapman wanted to discuss is if Liverpool's tactics could be adopted by Man Utd and if not how else Utd can be fixed

    <applause>

Just read an article by Phil McNulty were he refers to Old Trafford as "the so called theater of dreams", can imagine our outrage if he referred to Anfield as the "so called" anything so not so sure he is as biased as some make out, including me in the past.

It's well known that Rooney is McCunty's favourite player, even name checking him in his personal bio (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/correspondents/philmcnulty?cps)

His article about Rooney's tweet (yes, an entire article) contains the following history

Interestingly, unlike the Suarez history he mentions Rooney's personal awards, trophies, hattricks and goal records, and ignores his bans. His repeated use of blackmail to secure large contracts has also been airbrushed from history.

    Compare with

No mention of Suarez being League Cup winner (2011–12), FSF Player of the Year (2013), PFA Team of the Year (2012–13), Liverpool FC Player of the Year (2012–13) and his regular 3/4 goal contributions

No as far as I am concerned McMurtry can rot in hell.... He should have been sacked by the bbc years ago and for me is one reason among many it's now a virtually irrelevant sports reporting group.

The only use in events reporting of any kind is to describe something you can't see for yourself, and even then it's dependent on the reporter being honourable enough to present things accurately.
Opinions by journalists are just that-opinions, and as such are of no more value than ours.

Yes you are right, he presents himself as editorial so is opinion rather than fact as it were but still it's the bbc so shouldn't be gutter reporting and agenda driven

    Nah, they were awful.
They were in the first leg, too. How they won that is beyond me.

Couple of 'top top' saves from him last night, credit where it's due, he's put the shaky start behind him and is possibly their best player currently.

It's not as bad as the same stuff they did after beating Crystal FFS <laugh> Palace

(Coincidentally both these games needed a RVP pen to get them going)

    bbc salford,

Olympiakos are not a European superpower and have lost on each of their dozen visits to England. Those looking for omens, however, may recall how a Liverpool side struggling in the Premier League overcame them in a final group game in December 2004 with a comeback that led to their 2005 Champions League win

ffs man yoo are the reigning champions and are on a downward spiral, using us as an example ain't fair because we battled overwhelming odds to reach the knockout stages and the mancs walked their easy group and drew what for them should have been a foregone conclusion when they got Olympiacos.

But they need to follow our lead in European competition if they want to succeed.

    8>>>4.<ok>
