Staying down south till May. http://talksport.com/football/hull-agree-deal-sign-non-league-hitman-14031783816?
He has scored a few for invicta this season, he is defiantly a great talent, and knows how to finish. Delighted for the lad , he has worked hard this season and I know Neil cugley he will have advised him on the right move. (Think he has a soft spot for hull, Great footballing chats when I used to see him in the pub on a Sunday eve. ). Let's hope invicta get a friendly out of it.
As someone has said, Johan's dad is Dutch and his mum is English. Brought up in England - been at Invicta since he was 12. Anyway, here's a few Youtube links so that you can see what you've got to look forward to. What you'll notice is that he's very quick and knows where the goal is. There's a few others on Youtube as well, I've just picked out the ones with the best goals. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kZVX5ySakOU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMl_ROM9XJQ https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KvDQt0DmRD4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycOfM7ABLlU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GwoYMn9iEco Just like watching Brazil, eh?
Nice to see he's already well practiced at rolling around on the floor clutching his face, he'll fit in just fine in the premiership. Thanks for sharing the videos by the way Looks a talent he does, hope he can make the step up.
You're welcome. The rolling around is one aspect of Johan's game that has come on a bomb since the carrot of pro football has dangled itself in front of him. As you can see in some of these vids, he does get a bit of kicking at our level, especially since the "big time" stories began to break a couple of months ago, but to his credit, he gets up and gets straight back at them. No doubt full time training will beef him up a bit and I'm sure your coaches will make him work hard on his heading, but as you can see from the first vid where he runs from our half and scores, he is seriously quick with the ball at his feet and a cool finisher. He's also a really good lad and we're all chuffed to bits for him. Let's hope it goes well.
None taken - and we have to pay £9 a game for it . Still, I wouldn't be anywhere else on a Saturday. And I reckon if he'd had as many minutes on the pitch for you as Danny Graham, he'd have scored a few more goals - and what did he cost?
His wages would have eclipsed what we pay for this kid though, and I reckon I would have got more than Graham. On that point I was having a discussion with my mate the other day about how many goals we would get if stuck up front for a top premier league team for a season. I reckoned about 2 but he thought we wouldn't even get one. Thoughts?
You'd probably get one over the course of a season. Not from open play, no chance, probably a lucky goal line scrap that you managed to fall in to and arse in to the net.
I think this kid should refuse to shave until Danny Graham scores another Premier League goal. My guess is he'll get some stubble during year 6 or 7.
Yep they were my thoughts as well, probably from a corner. I'd also imagine that if you just worked at staying onside the ball would probably bounce through to you from a save or passed across the goal by a teammate for an open goal.
Quality, what standard is this exactly? Some of the players look like they do their training in McDonalds and Greggs! Some rotund looking Sunday league type players in some of those vids.
