Once again, Mourinho is being disengenuous. IF City win all of their 3 games in hand they will still only head the table on goal difference. They first, of course, have to play those games, and win them. In those circumstances, any manager, Mourinho included, would take the points over the potential points. He's full of ****, and fooling nobody!.

If I were a Chelsea fan, I'd be annoyed at him belittling the club's chances.

3 games in hand will be a pain for Citeh.
But with cup distractions probably over come thursday, they can get on with the
job of winning them. The irony is that their fixture congestion could now be
caused by those teams that are still in cup competitions.

No manager would sooner have City's position. Not only is the risk of injury and fatigue increased by playing more often, there is also the "scoreboard pressure". Knowing you have to win the games in hands adds pressure, which can undermine confidence and cause errors. City won a title by rising to the challenge in 10 frantic minutes v QPR when all looked lost, but in two out of the last three seasons, they have lost the title comfortably despite being the best team on paper. When faced with a sustained challenge, they wilted and fell away. 9 points off the top - games in hand or not - is daunting.

Was bad enough waiting for Spurs to finally do their game in hand in the 2010-11 season.
So three games is bad enough. Of course those Spurs fans of a certain age will remember
1982 when the cup campaigns meant we had FIVE league games in hand.

Man City have to play Arsenal, Liverpool and Utd away from home.

Chelsea's only remaining tough away fixture is against Liverpool.

Looking at the fixtures I would make Chelsea favourites and Man City to complete the domestic cup double.

Er....

I take it you haven't seen today's results?

Come on Hull Hotspur!!!!!

Are the badges already in production!? Probably not wise after Bayern Hotspur.. Just another way to set ourselves up for disappointment!

After Mourinho calling Wenger a master of failure then wasn't his last trophy the FA cup? Smart money says after 8 years of no silverware, he's finally going to remove that monkey from his back.

........ But if anyone can stop them.... Hull Hotspur! :p

He's got the fans brainwashed too - my cheslea supporting mates are still insisting they might not win it and that City are still favourites <laugh>

Well, there are, at least, two decent spankings to look forward to, tonight: one in Spain, and the other in Germany.

Don't think the Turks will spank the Chavs, because they have the home advantage, but I still think Chavs will lose.

I reckon the results will be:-

Barcelona 3 v £ity 1
Bayern 4 v Arsenal 0

Chavs 1 v Turks 2

I'm betting that Arsenal, yet again, will embarrass themselves and us, tonight.
