Liverpool are not at risk of being prevented from playing in Europe next season despite potentially falling foul of Financial Fair Play (FFP) regulations by posting losses totalling £90m in the past two financial years. (The Times) Well, what a surprise!
Luis Suarez believes he would make a better SAS soldier than fellow Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge. (FourFourTwo) Both these twats go down like they've shot on the merest of touches! Neither would survive a weekend with the Scouts, let alone the SAS!
I don't understand why fans get on the back of players who go down easily. It's gamesmanship at the end of the day. Hardly any different from claiming a corner when the ball hit you last or claiming a goal that hasn't crossed the line. You are trying to gain an advantage from an incorrect decision. Spurs have had their own players who went down easily (Klingsman, Bale) so I don't see how you can judge other players when your own have history for it. I don't condone it but we should be looking at ways to help the reds/linesman get a better idea not the constant slanging match between fans. My two cents.
Klinsmann never went down easily in a Spurs shirt that i remember. He took the mick out of his reputation with his goal celebration in his first game. Also, half of Bale's bookings were stonewall fouls. Some were dives and lots of Spurs fans criticised him so its hardly hypocritical
Klinsmann spent two stints at Spurs. The first was the 1994/95 and he returned for the '97/98 season. We scored one penalty in the league in his first season, which Dumitrescu put away and none in his second. There were a grand total of three in the cups over the two spells. If the German was a massive diver during his time at WHL, then he wasn't very good at it.
Friendly or not its a poor contribution from Spuds and a good one from us. Your'd better hope the "Mousers" play well tonight and the World Cup otherwise we're doomed.
Is it really worth crowing about Hodgson thinking five of your players are on a par with Tom Cleverley?
Have you seen how ****e this England side is playing against a very ordinary Danish side? It's embarrassing! If this 'Pool-dominated England side was to turn out against Spain or Germany, every single Englishman would hang his head in shame.
Did you not see Sterling's miss? It was clown-like. Actually, that insults clowns. Coco, with his size 72 shoes, would have scored that goal. This performance, with it's 'Pool dominated formation, is making me ashamed to be English. I feel soiled, as I am sure do most of us. Let's hope that in the second half Roy turfs off the Mousers and gets on some proper players.
