They all count. We've got Vardy chipping in too, plus goals from midfield. You could say Rhodes is worth more to Blackburn than Nugent is to us.
More impressed with the assist figure. He'll tell you himself that he's not a natural finisher. He plays behind the striker and he's probably the best in the league at it. If we think about it, we play a 4-4-1-1 or a 4-5-1 rather than 4-4-2. His goal tally is predominantly through penalties. I personally think you should always score from the spot. It's never a save, it's a miss. However, his assists have made up for his lack of open-play goals.
I've said all season he's worth his place for the rest of his game ... so no knocking here ... and I already knew that his open play goal scoring record was rather average ... Vardy now has more I suspect ... but most importantly of all Vardy and him have formed a 'partnership' and that has been a key factor in our success ... now calm yourself down, have a nice cup of cocoa and take an evening primrose oil capsule before Queenie comes on line
... no disputing that ... but you wouldn't be arguing that Ray Stewart (Wesh Ham), a full back with unerring accuracy from the penalty spot, was a particularly good striker ... Jordan Rhodes is (at least at this level) ... I suspect Venky's are hedging their bets ...will now cost a phenomenal amount to buy him ... but every player has a price ...
I always remember him when he was at Pompy, he scored v us in a 1-0 defeat. I seem to remember him having a simular season there, I hated him when he got that goal. Anyway, yeah, top stats. He´s had a hand in 30 of our goals... say no more.
Nugent plays his best football when the opposition fans are giving him stick He just loves it and always scores when they do
If I was him then I'd start using it to my advantage. Visiting the opposition fans' forum and making a right dick of myself.
Trees chopped & Sheep s***ed again, good res´s for us. Barnsley has just got that little bit more important for us, if that´s possible.
Barnsley are no mugs, they've managed to claw their way out of relegation more times than I can remember, and we often struggle up at their place. Tbh I wouldn't be at all surprised if we didn't manage to beat Barnsley.
13 points clear of 3rd with a game in hand Fixtures this week Blackburn V Burnley Birmingham V Burnley Burnley V Leeds Derby V Bolton Reading V Derby Brighton V QPR QPR V Yeovil 6 points this week and I think promotion is pretty much guaranteed and maybe even the League if Burnley drop more then 3 points
The way I see it is that Leicster & Burnley will be the teams going up because it looks like Q.P.R, Derby & Forest are doing their best not to. So having said that there is the little matter of who will win the lge ? I can see both us & Burnley staying about, any thing between, 5 & 8 points apart between now & when we meet on the 29th of Mar. It´s going to be a game we just can not lose, imo.
